I am not someone that knows my mezcal so maybe take my review with a grain of salt? Was that punny? Because they put salt on the rims of the cocktails. Maybe? I hope so.

My husband and I really enjoyed this place the first time we came so we've returned a couple more times and always have a wonderful time. It is probably our favorite bar in the world, but we also don't get out a lot, so maybe take that with a grain of salt too.

We haven't mustered up the courage to try their mezcals, but we really enjoy their mezcal cocktails.

By far, our favorite is the hoja santa. It's got macerated kiwi and just the right amount of sweet and mezcal balance. It is probably the best cocktail I've ever had. The aquacate is a close second, with a bit more sweetness to it and incredible pops of fruity flavor.
The other house cocktails on their menu - habanero, pepino and jamaica are also very good. I like the spiciness of the habanero. I also like that they give you a little complimentary cricket in the jamaica.

Service has always been very attentive and friendly despite our terrible Spanish. It's a wonderful place.

Good goes first:
Good music, ambiance, decoration, it's an amazing place.

Now the not so good part:
Prices are crazy, mezcal is awesome but let's be honest, it's not that expensive. The service was basically non existing and we were there on Monday, I can't even imagine how it is on Saturday.
We were planning to stay the whole night there but at the end we had just one shot.

My family of 8 and I stayed in Mexico city for over a week and his was surprisingly our favorite activity, unanimously. The servers spoke a little bit of French and fluent English. They walked us through the menu and the Mezcal tasting with ease. It was welcoming and comfortable for our parents, our 20-year old sister, and our 9-month old son. We saw people there for a Bachelor party, an intimate date night, and a relaxing girls night. The atmosphere and staff really lend itself to working for everyone. The space itself was also very beautiful! Would HIGHLY recommend!

Cute bar with nice outdoor seating. I wouldn’t say there is anything uniquely Mexican about this bar. Could’ve been in Cape Town or Brooklyn. But nonetheless, worth it if you’re looking for a nice place to have drink.

Our waiter was so kind and informative. I’m not fully fluent in Spanish, but he still gave me and my girlfriend a full explanation of every mezcal we ordered for the tasting (so I gathered some details about each drink). The mezcal tasting was great and u can spilt the tasting glasses with others (I’m not sure if other places do the same thing). We also had esquites with grasshoppers. Interesting experiences and an amazing vibe, loved our waiter.
