Had an excellent breakfast at cafe Madre. The staff is so friendly and offered us pastries after we ordered our food and we got a croissant. We ordered the omelette chiliquilies which was huge and very filling as well as delicious. We also ordered the breakfast sandwich which was fantastic and the bread was so fresh. It also came with the crispiest hash browns. The building itself is also stunning and worth walking around a little bit.

Overall an amazing restaurant.

I’d also like to highlight that I had one of the best (ever) flat whites here. Their coffee is on point!

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and this was the first meal we had in Mexico City altogether (which set the bar high). The staff was friendly and got us all a table within minutes of arrival. Our baby was knocking things over and various waiter would pick things up after him (this was not part of their job description, but shows how the folks here go above and beyond).

The hood was good and there is are all around to admire.

Great food and coffee and a beautiful outdoor setting to enjoy it. The service is excellent.

The downside is that the waiting time to get in is at least 45 minutes for walk ins and even a reservation means you wait in a queue with EVERYBODY else who made reservations.

I've been here a few times and it's always pretty busy especially during brunch or lunch time so get a reservation if you can. It has a really nice atmosphere, but I've definitely had to look for my waiter when I needed things or the bill.
I recommend the chilaquiles, chai latte and ice cream cake.

Very cute breakfast/brunch spot with massive patio. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is adorable, especially on a beautiful day. Gives European vibes.
Large menu with lots of options! We got chilaquiles with verde salsa and steak- SO good! We also got the berry pancakes, which  were very good, but super sweet! The drinks were fabulous, especially the mezcalita!
It was busy when we arrived, but could still get seated right away without a reservation!
