We had a great view of the angel of independence. The room was very nice and spacious but we thought the towels were a bit small. They gave us chocolate treats in the room as a welcome which was a nice touch. We ate in their restaurant and had the most delicious meal. Would really recommend visiting their restaurant and ordering the prawns and cauliflower cheese if you like that sort of thing! They have this bar on the 38th floor with an even better view of the city with delicious cocktails. Sadly the music was too loud and the vibe was more clubby. At breakfast , there were pan de muerto which was cool to try.

I have the luxury to have stayed in many beautiful hotels, this was one of the very best, not only is it beautiful, the entire team is so service oriented. Amazing stay, should be considered for hotel of the year! Loved it!

Do not use ride services here. It's super expensive.  Just use Uber and pay 5 times less ! Drive from the airport cost us $120, which with Uber would have been $20. That's a trust scam by a hotel, which is very disappointing

To be honest, this place is very pricey, but the view is really worth it. There we have some good stuff.I will definitely come back

Balta, on the 12th floor of Sofitel, has incredible views of the angel monument. It is a beautiful view and a beautiful restaurant. The service was excellent, shoutout to Daniel and Victor. My daughter and I both had a Not a Cosmo mocktail. They were delicious. My daughter had the cheese plate appetizer and I had the yellowtail ceviche. Then for our entrees, she had the tacos and I had the steak with potato puree. It was an expensive meal, but every bite was delicious and portions were generous.

We decided to stay at the Sofitel during our visit to Mexico City, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. The service was excellent -- very attentive and professional throughout our stay. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the physical hotel itself. The design choices just don't match what I'd expect from a high-end property. For example, the wall and floor materials give off a dirty appearance, even though they're clean. The lighting is dim and doesn't create the luxury feel you'd expect. The room layout also felt awkward. There's a large bathtub placed in the middle of the bathroom, and the toilet is in a separate room directly across from the front door, which feels poorly planned. The high table and bar stools in the corner of the room didn't seem to serve any real purpose either. I also didn't love that the reception isn't on the ground floor -- you have to take an elevator up to check in, which feels a bit inconvenient. Overall, the service was truly 5-star, but the design and layout need improvement to match that level.

10 of my girlfriends and I came for my bachelorette to have a drink and enjoy the views. I'm a frequent goer to the Beverly Hills location and was so disappointed in the Host at the front desk, Daniella. Her attitude was did not display the usual profesional costumer service attitude the brand is known for , instead quite the opposite. Instead of politely explaining that there was a mistake made or that we had to wait longer due to wait times, she made unnecessary snarky remarks, gave us nothing but attitude and was completely condescending. An official complaint was made to management and then we left to a place with higher ratings.

We have stayed at Sofitel's in multiple cities and have liked all of them. This one in Mexico City was the best one yet. We were there for a group trip with Modern Adventure and they were in charge of reserving our rooms. We had a King room on the 35th floor facing west, so we had a view of the entire city from our floor to ceiling windows. The technology in the room was so advanced. You could open and close the sheers and blinds, and turn on and off the lights from the bed. There was blue tooth capability that was easy to pair your phone and have an excellent sound system in the room. The bed was on the firmer side (which we like) and so comfortable. We asked for two more pillows that were brought up within 30 minutes. The bathroom was excellent. There were also floor to ceiling windows that allowed nature light in and the bathtub was in the shower area so you can shower or bathe in the same space. There was no need to close the blind as we were so far up no one could see in, so that was fun! The only thing we didn't like was the smell of the L'Occitane shampoo and conditioner. It smelled like plastic and was very off-putting. The staff was fantastic. During the time we were there, we mostly interacted with David and Lalo in the Concierge area. They were one step ahead of us the entire time. I spent some time talking with David and he was professional, yet shared some nice conversation with me. He explained some of the intricacies of the city, which I appreciated. The front desk staff were also lovely. We asked for water every night, and then when they cleaned our room, they left 8 waters for us knowing we drank a lot of water! We did enjoy Cityzen, the bar on the 38th floor, for three nights while we were there. It's lively and dark, and can be chilly if they leave the doors open for the roof-top. The staff was attentive and friendly and the drinks were well-poured. They are also open later, which worked out well for us. We highly recommend this lovely hotel.

If you're not staying in Polanco I highly recommend staying in Reforma, but it is not walking distance to all the shopping & restaurants like in Polanco. However, this hotel is a MUST STAY LOCATION! This five star hotel is one glamours hotel chain by the French people. The products they use for the restroom are from France, L'Occitane en Provence, so if you forget to pack your; shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & hand soap Sofitel has you covered. The rooftop restaurant is stunning & breathtaking, the pool is indoor & they have a built hot tub in the pool, imagine that. The suite, higher level rooms, have access to their lounge that has complementary food & beverages. Hands down thee best lounge I have ever been to at a hotel. The food is delicious & the cocktails are made with a lot of love & flavor above all.

{ :Spa Review: } Check-in is on the 39th floor of the hotel. You are greeted and offered iced water or hot tea before you're walked to the locker room to change. The space to change is super tight with 4 lockers in total. Sofitel asks for you to arrive at least 30 minutes before your service to enjoy the amenities. The steam room, climate shower, hot tub/cold plunge are in the relaxation room and is co-ed. The hot tub may fit 3 people comfortably so keep that in mind if you are in a bigger group. The 60 min massage itself was relaxing. The leg exfoliation was great after averaging 15k steps each day in Mexico City. I thought it was a little odd the showers and spa are not on the same floor. The showers are on the 38th floor where the pool is. You can find the dry sauna tucked away in the shower area. It was a nice touch having a view of city in each shower. Overall Sofitel was a nice couple hours to get away from the rain.

Great stay, beautiful hotel, excellent service! David made our check in so easy, upgraded our room and went out of his way to get us situated. Every member of the staff, including Tomas at the Club Level Lounge were awesome! We went for a wedding and everyone in our large party was very impressed! The views from our room were incredible! Wonderful staff all around and zero complaints about anything!!

The hotel is fine. Rooms are nice but do not stay here unless you have ample ample time to waste on elevators. It takes two elevators to get to your room and two elevators to leave the hotel. In the morning, when busy you will wait long and often trying to get anywhere. It's a terrible system.

Absolutely breathtaking views and good service. Appetizers are good quality and good portions as well. You have to experience the views and the open feel! A most go!

My gal pals and I went to Mexico City to celebrate our individual July bdays and thankfully, they agreed to stay at Sofitel reforma as it's my favorite hotel in Mexico City. Not only were we greeted with delicious chocolate when we arrived, everyone there was very helpful and extremely friendly. We were able to get rooms with club level access so the concierge there became quite familiar with our little group of 5. We are all from Houston and at the time, we didn't realize that our trip would need to be cut short due to approaching hurricane Beryl. So stress set in only a day after arriving. Two of our pals had booked a tour via an outside provider and had an awful experience -we mentioned this to our friendly concierge at the club level and they said they had a surprise for us later that evening. Of course, we were intrigued. After all of us cutting our trips short we headed to our final dinner and came back as promised to the club to find that they had planned a birthday party for us!!! Complete with champagne, a cake, and a fun game of loteria (Mexican bingo). Half of us were in tears (happy ones) given all the anxiety we had about going back home plus our friends who had a less than stellar experience were grinning from ear to ear. As a going away gift -they graciously gave us each beautiful hand made masks to take home with us. To those concierge; Natalia, Natalie, Laura, and Isaac --THANK YOU!!! You have no idea how amazing you made our trip. We will all be forever grateful to you and your immense kindness. As someone who travels quite frequently, I have NEVER experienced such graciousness. I will NEVER stay anywhere else in Mexico City!
