Would not recommend this hotel. The rooms have such poor lighting that my wife had to go outside to put on her make up. There are no outlets by the bathroom area so you cannot blow dry your hair while looking in a mirror our air conditioner did not cool below 22C.  I also made a special request to have a taxi pick us up for our international trip home. The Hotel forgot to do it.  For $330 a night I would expect to be able to actually see in our room use the hairdryer and have services that were promised actually delivered

Love this hotel. Incredible setting - like a peaceful oasis in bustling city, complete with stunning rooftop pool. Amazing frontline staff - from the rooftop bartenders and servers to check-in staff to breakfast server (and chef/staff!) -  they are kind, attentive and think of everything. The design is outstanding. Won’t get anything like this from a U.S. chain hotel.

located in the historic center, and it was an excellent experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive, always willing to help with anything we needed. The room was quite spacious, with a modern and elegant design that made our stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, I was able to stay with my pet, and the hotel was very accommodating and comfortable for him. The breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of fresh and tasty options that made our mornings even better. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, a great location, and excellent service. I’ll definitely return✨

I really can't get over the fact that they didn't have free filtered water, charging 60 pesos for tiny glass bottles. I've stayed at numerous hotels in areas where the drinking water isn't considered safe for tourist consumption (including another in CDMX that was 1/3 the price) and this is the only place that hasn't included it.

In general service wasn't quite what we expected, we were startled awake at 7am to the sound of gushing water (there were giant pipes going to the roof where the pool was so presumably related to that) we didn't get a response to our message asking about it.

The location was right in the middle of things and aesthetics were great, but the rooms were not very functional (super dark, didn't have an outlet in the bathroom, etc).

Edit RE response: there was definitely no water jar in our room and when we asked only water bottles were offered which we were charged for (see screenshot, we also followed up at the front desk the next day to ask since we thought surely we'd overlooked something)

Downtown Mexico Hotel rooftop was the location for my destination wedding and it was an incredible experience!! The staff was kind, our wedding coordinator was attentive for all the planning leading up to it and our guests said it was some of the best wedding food they ever had (I could not agree more).

We loved our stay and very grateful for the forever memories we got to create here!
