The House of Tiles is a beautiful building, definitely worth checking out and walking around. The architecture is stunning. But honestly, I wouldn’t eat at the Sanborns there. The food was cold, way too spicy, and the drinks weren’t even cold. Plus, the place was covered in dust, which was not great. Stop by for the gorgeous views, but skip the meal.

On a Sunday afternoon, way past usual lunch time, there still was a wait for a table for two. We waited for about half an hour to be seated. This place was very busy. Despite that, our waitress, was very attentive and friendly. We started with a jug of Spanish sangria. It was very tasty, though I'm not sure how much was the alcohol content, but it was fun to drink. For an appetizer we ordered mini sopes with chicken. They were cute and tasty too, we put some sauce on them.
For the main course we had the fillet mignon and torta de chilaquiles verdes. The meat was pretty standard, but I thought the torta was delicious, and I'm not a big sandwich fan in general.
We shared a flan at the end of the meal, which was also pretty typical.
The prices were very reasonable, with the tip we paid less than 900 pesos for the whole meal.
Overall, happy with the experience.

This place is beautiful and charming, perfect for taking pretty pictures. However, I wouldn’t recommend eating here. The food options were limited, and we didn’t enjoy our choices. Disappointing overall.

Ambience is superb! Lovely place to enjoy a drink or dinner. Wife liked the chicken mole, I did not like the al pastor burritos at all. Their saving grace was the delicious pineapple accoutrement, which was very tasty and a tiny bit spicy. The burritos tasted like mushy frozen burritos. I'm not saying they were frozen, they just didn't have a good mouth feel.

Very cool home turned into  Sanbourn's Cafeteria and Shop.  It's enormous but you can easily visit all the levels of the building, go out on the Juliet balconies, grab a snack and hit a free restroom.
