This resort is perfection. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Food and drinks were great however expensive compared to restaurants nearby. The views and rooms are unmatched. Seats by the pool fill fast so best is to get up early and lay towels down to reserve. 24/7 personal assistant for each guest and every room has a plunge pool. Each day at 5PM, they deliver guacamole, pico, chips & beer. Coffee and pastries available each day in the library. We saw dolphins and whales from our room each day.

Looking to escape winter? Then you have found the perfect place! Ixtapa \ Zihuatanejo is nice and HOT for all you snowbirds.
We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this beautiful place and everyone was warm and friendly.
So then, I am sure during your search you came across some unflattering reviews. I was a bit uneasy as well but carried on nonetheless. Well, our experience here was quite good. The only mistake I made was staying here the first leg of my trip! It would have served me so much better if the best was saved for last.
I shall definitely repeat!
Go ahead and book.. Go enjoy your life! Wash away the winter blues with some Sea,Sun, and Tranquility.

This place is absolutely gorgeous, and the view is straight out of a dream! We had such an amazing time enjoying delicious food, chatting with the incredibly friendly staff, and just taking it all in. Everyone, from housekeeping to the restaurant team, was so warm and welcoming, making our stay even more special. It was the perfect, stress-free getaway, and we’ll always look back on our time here with so much love.

Getting here from CDMX was easy and we used the hotel’s pickup service, which I highly recommend. Housekeeping comes by twice a day and even leaves little treats, which was such a thoughtful touch. And if you’re not a fan of geckos, don’t worry, you might see them in the lobby and common areas, but they stay out of the rooms.

Overall, Cala de Mar is an incredible place with the most amazing staff. Definitely a 5-star experience!

This place is an absolute dream. The private pool is on your terrace. Take it to another level. The only downside is that they don’t have direct beach access and you’re going to get a serious leg and quad workout going up and down those steps. The food was amazing. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive (even though they were very slow). The spa is a 10. Pro tip, there’s a hammock and a swing down by the rocks if you go down the stairs past the restaurant. It’s a great place to chill and listen to the water crash on the rocks beneath you as you swing. Oh! And remember to check the schedule for the live music at the bar.

This is by far the best place we have ever stayed.  A true  5 diamond experience. It is an extremely beautiful place. The staff is incredible. They treat you like royalty and ALWAYS with a smile. The rooms are spotless. So clean. You don't when want to leave your room. Very quiet place for relaxing or decompressing from your busy life. It is also a spa. 2 infinity pools plus smaller dipping pools in each room. 3 restaurants on site with incredible food. Mostly organic and fresh. Safe and secure. We will definitely be back. No beach but we walked 15 mins up to Club Med beach. Not a party scene here. Just sun fun,and relaxing. 30 minutes from airport.
