Labo feels like home especially as someone who is temporarily living here. The service is spectacular and they pay attention to detail. Johny is the best bartender I’ve ever seen and Mary the hostess is so welcoming. Diego the manager is outgoing and friendly. All the staff are so personable and the energy is warm. They TAKE CARE. You get free fermented samplers when you sit down which enhances the experience so much. The menu is amazing. The curry, chicken, and dumplings are a must. Forsure stop by here if you pass through Oaxaca!!!!

Was doing only Michelin mentioned restaurants while in Oaxaca for the first time. This one disappointed a bit. The fried chicken and wontons were next level but the kimchi too vinegary, the noodles lacked flavor and not cooked enough.  Not much to write home about but you could see the effort was there. Would love to return to this beautiful spot and see if they’ve tweaked the the food forward. Also they would do good to add an English menu option at this level

Labo Fermento is such a cool concept. Came here just to try the various fermented small plates. Food didn’t taste that spectacular but I am aware I don’t have the taste for it. Agree with other reviewer don’t bring picky eaters. Disagree with someone who said order the pescado fish dumpling. It was not that good. All-in-all though, very creative dishes, passionate & friendly staff, and would like to try the tasting and full menu someday coming here not after having a full dinner yet. Space is very nice too.

A must visit for anyone visiting Oaxaca. A fantastic twist on Mexican and Asian fusion. The food, drinks and service were incredible.

As a lover of fermented foods, I wanted to check this place out. When I saw it was also a Michelin bib gourmand, I had stop here.

We stopped in for some natural wine, but they let us enjoy it chilled, at the bar and we decided to have a menu starter. The dumplings de puerco con costra were the most amazing Oaxacan/Japanese fusion dumplings ever created. 100% recommend.
We chatted with their amazing bar manager over the delicious drinks and food. The mezcal selection is also fantastic. Patrons with NA preferences can enjoy the house kombuchas & NA offerings.

Great gastronomy spot with the chillest vibes. Wonderful bar. Not to be missed in Oaxaca.
