I've been here in Novmber 20204. First of all, this is a boutique resort, so it is not very big compared to other resorts. This place is very clean, the food was very well prepared, there was a good amount of food options. If I had to critique anything about the food is the desert options could be better. The rooms were very clean and large. There is a key on your bracket shich you use to open your room so you don't have to carry a room key with you. There is also an option for a romantic dinner by the sea but it was not advertised to well. There is not alot of entertainment at this place, they play music during the day by the pool and they play a few games but thats about it, there are no shows, performances, and night time entertainment, so after dinner bring yourself some games for something to do in the evening after dinner. The sea was very nice and clean, there are lounge chairs free for use. There are poolside loung beds, but you had to pay by day to ise them and it was a bit pricy. The staff here is fantastic. They are all very nice, happy, helpful, and easygoing. This hotel is surrounded by other resorts and if you leave the resort there is nothing close to walk to, however you cam take the bus right outside the resort, it is $1 US per person or 12 pesos, definalty take the bus its easy and much cheaper than a taxi and they come every couple of minutes.

Things they dont tell you. Firday nights is mexican dinner night in the cafeteria, they decorate the food hall and there is more mexican inspired food. Saturday nights is a la cart in the food hall, so it's not buffet style. You have to pay $15 US per person as an environmental fee when you check in. There is not much to do here for kids, so I would say it's the best for families with kids. If you want to have a nice relaxing, pleasurable experience, I would go here again. I gave it 4 stars due to lack of evening entertainment. Besides that, I would say everything else is great.

The staff is amazing! Great service and atmosphere. Location is also great pretty close to everything we wanted. Room was very nice I wish the windows can be opened. Other than that I had a great experience.

Food and staff were excellent. Only issues were with the room; toilet blocked with almost every flush. People in rooms on both sides were screaming, shouting and crying. Had to call front desk several times which resulted in security being sent to one room. Also as on a low level floor facing the sea, couldn't open balcony door due to the number of insects.

Experience at Oleo was great. Exceptional service, rooms modern and clean (renovations were probably made a while ago but everything is still as on the pictures). Was very impressed by quality of the food, both Almar and Hakka restaurants had great taste, portion sizes and presentations. No need to reserve a table is definitely a plus. Plenty alcohol options. As we mentioned that it was my birthday trip, staff made little surprises with the sign, champagne and desserts. Sea was clean and warm (visited in June), beach sand as on the pictures very light and soft. Since hotel is on the beach, we could stay at the pool and go swim at the beach and pool so you don't need to walk back and forth. Conveniently located not so far from the Cancun airport so fast transfer with kids was a plus.

Lovely stay at the penthouse #2000. Super modern and clean.  Two minor observations since I won't call them complaints...parking was very limited if you've rented a car; also the second bedroom feels a bit cramped... accommodates two couples but really more like an adult couple toting small kids around.  Loved that there are two separate terraces, each with its own private pool.  Would definitely recommend.
