Such good healthy food. Feels nourishing and so flavourful. Got the set menu and very good value too starter, main and dessert with a drink for 195pesos!

I was given the recommendation to go to Bajo Cafe Mercado 30 and it was definitely worth it.   During my time in Playa del Carmen I ate there 3 times, as the chilaquilles verde con huevos was the best.  The atmosphere is very welcoming with open air seating.  Everyone who works there was kind and friendly.

There is also a sweet bird with a broken wing that keeps all crumbs off the floor.  I love that they let her hang out in the tree, bathe in the pond and snatch a few crumbs from the floor.

I highly recommend for breakfast and for a coffee with friends.

Great cafe to get work done. It’s an outdoor market and there are different seating areas. Although it is outside, there are outlets available. It’s also pretty shady so it’s not too hot. I enjoyed my iced mocha latte and BLT. The service was great and you can use a credit card. I stayed there for about 4/5 hours and was comfortable the whole time. I would definitely return.
