Very nice well decorated pleasant place to take your time and enjoy your food. Been there twice in a week and everything was delicious. From the varied type of chilaquiles, to the fish, french toast and the outstanding house breakfast eggs, there is a wide variety of plates to enjoy. The mixed juices are interesting and fresh and the service is first rate. Part of the decoration are colorful paintings from local artists that are for sale.

Thank you for responding to my recent review. Would you please tell me the name of the plum jam that you serve with the French toast? I want to try to replicate this recipe. It was so amazing!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Cueva del Chango in Playa del Carmen while on vacation, and it was an unforgettable experience! For lunch, I ordered the enchiladas, which were absolutely exceptional. They serve three different types of salsas alongside the meal, each more incredible than the last. I enjoyed it so much that I returned the next morning for breakfast, and I’m so glad I did.

The chilaquiles were out of this world—hands down some of the best I’ve ever had! My son ordered their traditional French toast breakfast, which came with a side of fruit compote that was so delicious, I wish I had the recipe.

The atmosphere at La Cueva del Chango is vibrant yet relaxing, with a unique charm that perfectly complements their top-notch service and outstanding food. I would give this restaurant a solid 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen!

Absolutely loved this place!
We loved everything about this restaurant. During our 3-day stay in Playa del Carmen, we dined here twice—and it was fantastic both times!
The food was high-quality and absolutely delicious, the service was excellent, and the restaurant itself is stunning.
The guacamole, in particular, was outstanding—highly recommend trying it.
Can’t wait to come back on our next visit to Playa del Carmen.

OMG!!! What a place! Everything we tried was so delicious! The best guacamole EVER! I travel a lot and this is top place to eat! Very humble team - i expressed several times how great the food is to the waiter and the response was - its the whole team work - i love it! Owner heard i loved the guacamole and they brought us extra one.

This place is so unique, it's in the middle of nature and is such a great  location for a meal.Get there early as it gets busy and the lineup is pretty long.
