We recently celebrated our 10-year anniversary at Rosewood Mayakoba, and it exceeded all expectations, delivering a truly unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and thoughtful touches that made our anniversary celebration feel incredibly special.

Finding Cabo-level service on the East Coast of Mexico is nearly impossible, but Rosewood Mayakoba is that rare gem, a true needle in a haystack of resorts. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, anticipating our every need and going above and beyond to ensure we felt like VIPs throughout our stay. The lush surroundings, stunning views, and luxurious amenities combined with impeccable service to create a simply perfect escape.

We have been many times… always has been top notch. This summer we went back and had to switch rooms after some storms as the whole beach block of rooms had no air conditioning. The beach itself was virtually wiped out and really minimal room left in comparison to years ago. We certainly hope they rectify it. I do agree with some other reviews that staffing seems to be in short supply - minimally served on beach as in years past and no true follow up attention that we grew accustomed to and longed for in our absence. Pools in the adult area are looking worse and worse - paint chipping away and water color made us think it was not well treated. We do hope to return some day soon to the service we once knew and beach that has abundant space and service to enjoy.

Loved staying here! Have been eyeing it for a few years and finally stayed for my birthday. Had an amazing time, staff was great. From pick up/drop off at CUN (thanks, Cesar!) to smiling faces all around the property. It was summer, so it was a bit hot in the open-air restaurants, but everything else was amazing! Thank you to everyone for making my stay enjoyable! 🙏🏼

Nestled into a safe, quiet, private nature preserve, Rosewood has built another jewel of a property. I’ve been blessed to stay here many times and can attest that it is one of the finest run hotels in the world. Their attention to detail is second to none. My favorite personal anecdote comes from my first stay when I spoke with a beach side concierge about my love of Mezcal and he recommended I try his favorite Mezcal cocktail which I took note of but then later that night when I arrived at my dinner reservation on property, the cocktail he described was handed to me by the hostess and she said the concierge thought I would enjoy it. Now that is SERVICE! the rooms are all stunning and if you can afford the leap to a beachfront villa, do it. They’re amazing! You should also familiarize yourself with their world class restaurant and bar, Zapote. It’s truly the nightly hotspot with live music and incredibly inventive cocktails. The beach here is a bit different than you might usually see at resorts but it serves the purpose well and is by far made up for by the incredible shrimp tacos. Not to be missed. Overall, I’d say we should all just move to Rosewood Mayakoba and call it a life. It’s simply the best. Can’t wait to return.

We stayed here for a corporate work trip and it was amazing. Hands down the best room we’ve had (we’ve been to similar 5-star resorts in Bora Bora and Mallorca). The room was huge and had a separate living room area with a full-size couch and dining room table.  The shining star was the bathroom though; the huge tub was in a floor-to-ceiling window atrium with a skylight facing the private little back garden. There was an outdoor shower too.

We were going back and forth between the Banyan Tree and Rosewood and honestly this is why I took off a start. At times the wait was long despite the fleet of golf carts and SUVs, and the distance between the two sister resorts seemed very far. If you’re planning to stay at one or the other the whole time, this wouldn’t be an issue.

The gym was amazing, as was the spa. Food was delicious although I wish the breakfast had a full buffet in addition to made-to-order egg dishes.
