We stayed at Encantada for our wedding weekend since we got married at NU- the restaurant/venue across the street from Encantada. We stayed in one of the upper ocean front rooms and it was beyond amazing. The view from the room was incredible and the sound of the ocean at night was unreal- no need for a sound machine to help you sleep! I got ready in our hotel room prior to my wedding and the staff members at Encantada were so so kind and accommodating. They allowed our hair and makeup artist, photographer, and several friends/family into the room. We took photos on the hotel grounds without any issue. Isabel, the concierge with Encantada went above and beyond to make the weekend special and run smoothly. Isabel helped us arrange a large lunch spread for friends and family on the wedding day, she assisted us with dinner reservations, and helped us book some fun excursions for our honeymoon. The night of our wedding, we came back to the room and there was a bottle of champagne and rose petals in the room which was a really sweet touch from the hotel staff. I highly recommend this hotel and will 100% be booking a trip back again.

One of the loveliest places we’ve ever stayed!! The ocean, beds, and rooms are just perfect and the place is so tranquil and relaxing!! This is in what we felt like was a calmer area of Tulum, but easily walkable, etc. The concierge and staff were unreal! Could not recommend this place enough!

Small intimate hotel located around the quieter parts of Tulum, something we welcomed very much.
The rooms are all the same size just possessing different views of the ocean. We booked our room directly through the hotel booking system. The booking included a free room upgrade as advertised on the website. On arrival we asked if the hotel was fully booked or if there was the possibility for an upgrade. Sure enough there was a space in an ovean view villa, however no free upgrade. In fact we were supposed to pay 1.000 USD for the 4 nights of our stay. We politely declined. No mention of the included 100 USD Spa voucher at the check in either.

The rooms are nice and spacious. The sink however doesn’t fully drain in its current design so you always have tooth paste flowing around the sink. The open shower always splashes onto the wooden floor next to it. The bedding is really comfortable and generous.

The staff in the restaurant is very helpful and welcoming unlike the staff at the front desk. Here an overall mood of sullenness prevails. The method of getting in contact with the front desk is via WhatsApp and you better make sure you do as on multiple occasions we were told to use this messaging service instead of approaching the front desk straight away on our way out. Seems somewhat silly and pedantic, especially at this price range. I’m not staying at an Airbnb where I am messaging my host who lives somewhere else.

The beach is lovely and clean and the day beds are comfortable. A lot of beach vendors are around though, especially come midday.

Overall it is an intimate hotel with very few rooms which should result in some sort of bond between staff, front desk and guest but it did not for us.

We loved encantada! Stayed here in June 2024 with my partner James and we were obsessed - the place was quiet and in nature and our room was so comfortable. The staff serviced the rooms twice a day and the cleaning staff left biscuits.

We just returned home after staying at Encantada for 3 nights. The hotel and the staff were the highlight of our trip to Tulum. While there are many restaurants and clubs nearby, we ended up having many of our meals at the hotel’s veranda by the beach. The breeze, privacy, view of the ocean and the wonderful staff made us feel it was not worth venturing out much. We had one of the ocean beach upper level rooms (Luna) and it was amazing!!!  While it was not ocean front, we still had a wonderful view of the ocean and the palm trees swaying in the wind. The breeze in the balcony is indescribable. The staff at this property are amazing as they are genuinely interested in making your stay a memorable one. If you already made the decision to come to Tulum and want an intimate and papered vacation, do not hesitate and book your room. You won’t regret it.
