It's wonderful, but don't pick the first parking that you see drive all the way to the white ticket booth. Don't stop or people trying to pull you over. Inside the building with ticketing, that is very confusing. Just make sure you get into the line ticket booth on the left. People were randomly getting into lines that had nothing to do with ticketing, so watch out for that. Don't be afraid to ask questions, ask enough, and you will find someone who is english speaking.
The first window of the ticket booth. You have to pay for the entrance to area and then the window right next to it, you have to pay for the ruin entrance. You need both tickets.
No plastics! Take a reusable water bottle that is not plastic.
It's not the most efficient entrance at all, but it is well worth it.

Really spectacular archeological site! This Maya city is definitely a must see in Mexico - it is stunning how beautifully is this city preserved. Whether your choose to use a guide or explore the city on your own, either way, you're sure enjoy this place.
We visited this site during low season (October) which was great because there weren't too many people, therefore we could enjoy this place to the fullest without crowds. But if you are not coming during low season, be sure to come really early in the morning, otherwise you may not enjoy this site as much, since thousands of people are coming here daily.
If you are coming here by car, be sure to drive really til the end (right in front of the Chichén Itzá) - there will be many parking lots along the way to the site and people who will try to tell you you need to park there, but don't be fooled, there is a big official parking lot at the end of the road, so if there is any free space left, make sure to come to this official parking lot.
Also, there will be really many souvenirs stands in Chichén Itzá - if you do want to buy something there, you need to negotiate a lot (the prices of souvenirs here are much higher than in other Mexican cities).

Amazing. Get a personal guide, it's worth it. Lots of walking, lots to see. Be prepared for hot humid weather. Stay hydrated. Make sure to visit the cenote for a cool dip down in the cave.

Definitely a must visit in mexico. The ruins are beautiful and the visit takes around 3 hours.

Price is pretty high. In total around 30 euro for each person but definitely worth it.
