My husband and I just stayed for a few nights the weekend of our wedding. Upon arrival, the staff were welcoming and made us feel right at home. We got dinner at Jessica’s the night we arrived and got to enjoy beautiful views and delicious cocktails. And I of course cannot forget to mention how incredible the breakfast staff is. After our first morning, the staff greeted us with our usual drinks. They make you feel right at home. I already am looking forward to the next time we get to stay. Not to mention the grounds are beautiful!

We had a wonderful pet friendly stay at this lovely Inn within walking distance to everything in Middlebury. Dinner at Jessica's was superb in every way. Matthew was very helpful in granting our request for a corkscrew and ice. He also recommended restaurants in the area on Monday and Tuesday evening when Jessica's is closed. The staff during breakfast were friendly and pleasant and the menu selections were wonderful. Our room was very clean and well appointed. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The Swift House Inn is a truly special place. We held our micro wedding with our immediate families at the Swift House in June 2024 and were so impressed by the beautiful grounds and accommodations, the professional and friendly staff, and the attention to detail that made our weekend so special. Our family booked out the Carriage House (and one room in the Main House) for the wedding weekend. All of the rooms were lovely; the Carriage House rooms in particular were extremely spacious. The team's attention to detail was present in every aspect of our wedding experience: from setting up the ceremony and champagne toast, to coordinating the flowers & cake, to a delicious dinner in a private dining room. Thanks to their hard work, we really felt we didn't have to worry about a thing; we were able to truly relax and enjoy the weekend with our families in beautiful Middlebury. Also, the breakfasts were SO good and such a fun way to start the day - still dreaming about the scones!  If you are considering a micro wedding in Vermont, I can't imagine it could be much better than this. (It's also just a great place to stay, as evidenced by all the other glowing reviews... but wanted to add our specific micro wedding perspective.) Wish we could give them 6 stars - thank you Swift House team!

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at the swift house inn and are already planning our next trip back. From the second we walked in and received a warm welcome from the owners, to our dinner at Jessica’s with our top notch server, Jay, we knew we had selected the perfect location for our new years/ anniversary getaway.
Our only regret was not participating in the kimchi class as the kimchi that came with the pork belly at the restaurant was some of the best we’ve had.
Every bite we consumed during our stay was divine, especially the morning pastries. There is too much to mention in one review but you certainly cannot go wrong by choosing to stay at this inn.
