Back again! Staff was extremely friendly every where I went. Checking in and out was a breeze! Only issue was the bathroom door that got stuck and I had to shimmy my way in and out of the bathroom for the last 2 days! Would recommend staying here!

Considering that this is supposed to be a Marriott and not a Courtyard or Fairfield etc, I would give it 2 stars. What bumps it up is of the 5-star reception staff. They were so friendly and helpful and there was never a wait for anything when I had to check in/out etc. Otherwise, it does not live up to Marriott expectations. Let's start with the awful elevators. Elevator, not plural because while there were 2, only one was working throughout my weekend stay. I was here for a work event and had to allow extra time because there was also some kind of convention going on as well as high school sports teams so the elevator was often too packed. The main lobby was more like what you'd expect at a Courtyard. Ditto the indoor pool. I think the problem is just that it's dated and needs a facelift. I used the iron which was broke as was the ironing board. I always expect a robe at a Marriott, none to be had here. The room was basic and fine, dreary view and no upgrades despite my status (not sure if they even have better rooms for upgrades). My other main issue was the location-- in the heart of strip malls and not much else. Without a car, you can't even grab a coffee anywhere (and you'll need to because the lobby coffee cuts off at the unheard of time of 7:30 am.) I'd be hard-pressed to stay here again even if it means not earning points.

I don't take lightly giving this place a 2 star rating. I initially was going to do 1 star but then I felt like that was a bit much. Anyway, when people stay at a hotel they are trusting the facility and its people to cleanliness. So when that falls short I feel like it's unacceptable and there should be zero tolerance for witnessed uncleanliness. My shower had strands of hair all over the place. I'm bald and I had just arrived so it wasn't me. So now I won't have a good night's rest because of concerns of cleanliness. Other than this, the staff were polite and welcoming, the other areas of the hotel were good and met needs but when I spot unclean areas I will forever be turned off. 4 star hotel with 2 star housekeeping staff.

I am writing this review as an outcry of disappointment. We went for a company meeting and had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel. I was putting the bill on the room. The bill was including tip (which was 20%) $65 however when I received the bill by email after checking out it showed $75. I thought ok, mistakes can happen and wrote to the front desk as this was the email I received the bill from. After one day - no reaction, Sent the email again - again no reaction. I am highly disappointed and it is just a ripp off by the hotel !!! I am attaching pictures as proof so you can see for yourself.

Arriving at this location was wonderful. The customer service when you check in was professional and curteous and seamless. The environment was comfortable. The rooms were clean and inviting. When we needed utensils, they were quick to respond. We had a small issue with our bed, it was ok, but Marriott needs to replace the beds- we were feeling the coils in the mattress. Room 623. Other than that, thank you for the pleasant stay.

Standard room. Bathroom is small but functional. There are some hangers and a single drawer for storage. Easy to connect Chromecast to the TV. Bed is comfortable, room can be kept nice and dark, pillows are puny, but requested foam were better. Self parking, though there's often a bellman who is happy to help with unloading and loading and getting everything to your room. Breakfast in the club was bad. Bacon and eggs were cold, and I don't mean not hot, I mean refrigerator cold. Pitchers of juice were just left on a table, no attempt to keep them chilled. Maids ignored the do not disturb sign on the morning we left, and just came in asking if we were departing that day. When we're stopping in Birmingham, I'm sure we'll be back at the Marriott, just keeping our expectations in check.

Stayed here 3 nights for a business trip, and as a Marriott, Titanium Elite, I always stay at Marriott properties. This property was recommended by a work colleague, and this hotel satisfied my needs. I stayed her in mid-October 21, and because of COVID, some of the services were not available. Not a big deal to me, as my business meetings were not at the hotel. The staff was friendly, and accommodating, and the bar was open for drinks and they did have a menu that was scaled back a bit, but that was fine for me. The bed was comfortable, and the room was well lit, and served me well throughout my stay. This property will be my go to, when I come back for my next business trip.

For some, they are a glimpse of comfort and amenities. For others, of a time that passed by. And perhaps for a certain individual, a depressive reminder that what we build should be created with sense and purpose. I am of course talking about the Marriott brand of hotels. But, even the oldest and most distressing places deserve an uplift once in a while. This Marriott did recently get one and it's hard to imagine the disaster that this property must have been before it. Arguably, one could even call out that this property is far from old relative to other Marriotts. Constructed in 1999 and last remodeled in 2020, the furniture and carpets throughout the property look brand new. The shell of course, is quite depressing with its absence of architecture and aging ceilings. Checkin process was quick and pleasant and as a Titanium elite, there was even a light upgrade to a larger guest room. The lady was extremely kind and offered some water. The oddest thing about the guest room was it's location in a former conference room. That meant the square tile office style ceiling and a complete misuse of space. The sofa was tiny relative to the huge space, there was a couple random chairs in a corner and despite the spacious room, it seemed very poorly furnished despite the recent renovation. The bed didn't even have a bed skirt with the mattresses and bed frame sticking out. The space for the refrigerator was there, but no fridge present. Perhaps the worst was the bathroom, where one could barely stand with an open door. Getting into the shower either requires jumping over the toilet or closing the door. This is all to be noted with the fact that this conference room was very recently converted into a hotel room and there is way more space that needed in the bedroom area, thus it's truly puzzling how one could have such a deranged sense of design. But, that's likely not the case. There was an idea, there was some excess furniture from other rooms, a standard plan for a bathroom and there, the result. A silly attempt to make a large room, that is probably less comfortable than the regular ones. But, there are certainly benefits to sleeping in a conference room. A massive television being one of them. In all, this hotel is a decent Marriott as sad as certain things might be. The bedding is comfy, the service is good and the design is depressing. Yet, it's refreshed and makes for a good business hotel.

The front desk staff is a five. This is an older property for the most part very well-maintained in the common areas. Our bedroom was clean bathroom is clean the only critique I would I have is that the actual glasses are not washed they are wiped out with a towel which is easy to tell by the lint on the towel and the fact that there's still residue on the glasses. Needless to say we used the paper cups that come prepackaged and secure for sanitary reasons.
