We were in the area, so you know we were running here to get $1 drinks for the road! This location is different, as the speakers/menu to order from are on the middle of the parking lot ( away from the building).... it's a little bit of an obstacle course if you're not familiar with the layout. We ordered and made our way across the parking lot. I can imagine that during lunch time the parking lot is a chaotic place! Thankfully we were visiting around 4 PM. We got our food, and it actually took a while because they were making our chicken sandwiches fresh. Overall 3 out of 5. Can't comment about interior space since we did not go inside.

Drive through takes forever for somebody to respond. I could understand if short staffed but some type of communication needs to happen. Second time experiencing this and will not return.

I'm an employee there I work at the one on 5th Ave s in Birmingham I been working there for almost 3 months and I'm finally leaving them the pay rate is not worth it the food is nasty it's ridiculous I seen cockroaches and flies flying around the food and it's horrible we had a customer come in there like a month ago and had shitted all in the lobby the health department had almost shut us down for that day it was horrible they're always burning the food they don't care about their employees for real they only care about them selves and it's sad im leaving because I found me a better paying job and my new job is not gonna sit there and play with my hours and my money like McDonald's did and yes I did put my 2 weeks notice in if anyone ask but yes this is not your average everyday restaurant these folks need to be shut down because they are serving food even the employees and it's really sad they don't have any managers half of the time the managers be late but wanna write us up for being late or a no call no show and it's ridiculous and this ain't the first time I done worked at this McDonald's before I was working there back in 2018 fresh out of highscho but it was different people back then them new folks ain't worth my time and they need to be stopped asap. I got a wrote up because I didnt have a way to work that Sunday morning and I even called and told them why and they still wrote me up that's what I be saying I got another write up because I had to go take care of my mother she was sick and my manager wrote me up when I told her the reason they don't care about their employees and it's sad to hear...

Takes FOREVER and the staff is always so rude and just offputting. They almost always forget your sauce, and dont even get me started on the wait time. Its fast food. It should not take 30 minutes to get some nuggets I mean jesus. It would be faster to catch a fish and eat it than to go here to try and get some food. Avoid at all costs.

They are not open 24 hours. They may have employees there but nobody is serving food. Go anywhere else. I spent 15 minutes in the drive thru. I was second in line. The car in front of me left without ordering. And I did too.

I love McDonald's Breakfast. I am also on the Keto Diet. They get my order wrong 50% of the time so I check it prior to leaving. On this day, I asked my wife to check and they were missing her scrambled egg. I walked back to the drive through. They put the worng egg on the in the box again. I asked for it to be corrected. Here is what I was told, "We gave you the egg for free, you never paid for it." Folks, all I want to do is get my order right. If not, have it fixed. If i owe you money, glad to give it to you. Just ask. What I don't want is lip. Enough stress already with this global pandemic. If McDonalds can get it right, where is the world.

As I was teaching my son how to pick up an order, he dropped his fries and tears were about to fall. McDonald's replaced those fries without missing a beat. Thank you, McDonald's!

McDonald's on 5th Avenue South in downtown Birmingham Alabama. Tuesday 6.4.24 approximately 6:30pm I waited abt 15mins to give code for 1 dollar French fries, I only had a dollar 50 at that time or I would have just paid full price, I go there several times a week. When I was asked for my code my phone had timed out and I couldn't use it again because something was going on inside the restaurant because they weren't taking orders for an unusually long time, the drive threw was essentially shut down like between 10 to 15 minutes. I wasn't upset but thought surely since they knew we had waited an unusually long amount of time as everyone else at the drive through had also been stopped from ordering due to whatever they had to address , that they would honor the offer. But when I pulled up to the window she acted as if nothing had happened and refused to take my order at the window. During the day at this location there is usually a really awesome black gentleman at the first window. But I was working late and so he wasn't there any longer. So I pulled on up to the 2nd window, and a black girl, with a dark blue shirt that I'm not sure was even a uniform shirt but she didn't have a name tag . ( should be a requirement so people can be accountable for bad behavior, as well as applauded for great behavior) . She wasn't the one working the window. She said that I couldn't get the fries for a dollar or order from there. She was extremely rude and sarcastic, she started arguing with me when I said my code timed out because I was waiting for 10 or 15 minutes to place my order. Which was okay because sometimes things happen...but she was raising her voice and waving her hands and saying things like " Now you saying 15 mins when you said 10 minutes , you don't know what you talking about" and was making fun of me . I was not going to argue with her so I asked for the manager and she just stared at me , not answering me or responding.. then she said "I am the manager " I didn't believe that because I couldn't imagine that anyone would alow someone that unprofessional to run this location. So I asked her for her name... she refused to give it to me and kept talking over me saying "Why you want it ? What you want it for ? " "huh? ..over and over. I said " Are you really not going to tell me your name ? " Then I asked her for the name of the District manager....She just kept on making a big scene. Then someone came up to her and said something but I couldn't hear what they said, then they walked off and she continued to say "What you want it for ? " ,then she said " Well.. the OTHER manager said I can give you the fries but since you being smart I refuse to serve you " I said " Why didn't you just say that ?" ...then she literally slams the window in my face . I transport people to and from hospitals downtown all day and I frequently come to this location and have never been treated poorly. But whoever that employee is has no business working with the public, I am very patient and kind and do not disrespect anyone. She was a bully and completely unprofessional and I feel like it's necessary to post a review about my experience if this kind of person is an employee much less a manager. If she isn't a manager and the actual manager allowed her to behave that way then that's a big issue. I'm not usually someone that would pursue a complaint because I understand it's a stressful job ,and sometimes people have bad days. But I'm 58 years old and can't remember ever being treated so rudely at a restaurant and just plain hateful..and hope it can be addressed because I will go to Burger King on the same block,as I had to that day in order to not have to deal with her again. I can't possibly be the only patron that has had to endure a not only unpleasant but aggressive experience at the hands of this woman. No one deserves that . unfortunately until I know I won't have to run into her again I won't return to that location and warn others to consider it as well. Thank you for your time.
