Sooo, We took a little scavengerHunt today and found this cute and secrecy Speakeasy in Birmingham,AL. It may look like your average neighborhood restaurant from the outside , but this place is anything but that. The Hidden entrances, behind unmarked doors but was easy to find. The trendy bar replicate the secrecy and atmosphere of the original speakeasies, often with hidden entrances, dim lighting, vintage decor, and craft cocktails,. Well POGO is definitely it. Our server was skilled at mixing our cocktails. She made me the best Banana Mai Tai, not featured on the menu buts it's probably one of the best (strongest but fruity drinks) I have ever had. This place is remarkable for drink. Strictly for the grown people. We love the Ambiance, the lighting is perfect. This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night. #PogoCocktailBar Is definitely it. #DateNight #DowntownBirmingham

5 stars across the board. Such a fun, unique spot. The ambiance takes you back in time while still having a modern feel, and the drinks are top notch. My personal favorite is the number 2, coffee and passion fruit gimlet. I've never had anything else like it. Plus you can end the night with a game of pool. Will definitely be back.

Pogo is a very nice speak easy located below the Amour House. Entrance into the bar is very cool and secluded. I love the concept of the pogo door handle and name that was found doing the building of bar. They offer plenty of seats from high top tables to booths. The drink menu does include most of the standard items. They were sold out of the popular pogo punch but would return to try again. The server was great and checked on us frequently. Overall Pogo is a go for me!

Nestled beneath Birmingham's Armour House. Pogo offers an intimate experience. The atmosphere is a blend of classic charm and modern sophistication- arches, stone, velvet drapery plush seating and atmospheric lighting. The layout can easily accommodate a large group or few friends. The staff is very attentive. It's definitely a place to try.

WOW!! The ambiance is next level. All boxes checked here. Service was excellent. Our cocktails were excellent. If you are looking for a new experience and a great date nite spot. Pogo is the real deal. Sorry no pics.

Great ambiance and attentive service at the door, but the bar team seemed short staff as it took a significant time to be greeted and receive our order. Also, the seating situation was sparse as the tall tables were very spacious, but I was seated next to a couple on the couch facing AWAY from the live music, so this was very inconvenient. I hope they have increased their table seating. The drinks are nothing special, you could have something more fascinating and delicious for the same or lower price at Paper doll, Mayawell, or Cayo. Live Music however was a nice touch, but don't expect it to be the main focus as it was mostly drowned out by the chattiness of a weekend evening.

While the ambiance at Pogo Bar is okay, the experience overall left much to be desired. The noise level is overwhelming, and the acoustics are terrible, making it difficult to enjoy the setting. The service was frustratingly slow. We were seated at 6:45, but it took until 6:55 to have water and drink orders taken, and we didn't receive our glasses of wine until 7:15. That kind of delay is unacceptable, especially for a bar that brands itself as a speakeasy. The prices are average, but the lackluster service and atmosphere make it not worth the visit. I won't be coming back. Marble ring all day.

Nice little speak easy under the Amour Restaurant. They don't have Coconut Malibu Rum but all the other good bourbons they had in stock. Service was good and was a fun place to meet up and drink with friends.

Pogo is the speakeasy of your dreams! The ambient lighting plus the live jazz is truly one of a kind in Birmingham. Every detail has been thought out intentionally and implemented perfectly. Truly the place that Bham was missing. Highly recommend adding this to your list!
