Amazing service and atmosphere—our server especially was very attentive. The food was also amazing. We had the pork momos, pork belly skewers, the fire roll, and the special Christmas tree roll. Sat at the sushi bar and it was awesome.

Arrived at 5 pm and it was quiet and tranquil. It was almost full when we left. Loved the chill vibe and chicken skewer with lemongrass. The chicken ramen was good. The veggie thukpa was too bland for my taste so i added chilli pil and soy sauce.  I would skip the edamame as it was kind of a mealy texture and no umph. Will have to try the sushi next time.

Amazing service tonight, Bamboo on 2nd’s employees are attentive and kind; they’re sure to clear tables of empty glasses & trash as soon at they spot it. I had the Pork Momos tonight which I must say were just okay, unfortunately the Momos just weren’t for me. Thankfully, Bamboo on 2nd made up for it by serving me an absolutely delicious Thukpa; the Thukpa was the highlight of their menu for me tonight. The atmosphere is quaint & lovely, definitely would come again!

So the host with the coolest moustache in town greeted us, told us we may have a 45+m wait and suggested we visit Avine across the street while we waited. He was efficient and knew the ins & outs of successfully navigating the crowded restaurants & bars around there on a hopping Friday night. We followed his advice and waited maybe 20m before his text called us back. Once seated, our excellent server had water there immediately and got our drink orders. The four of us had momos and tempura green beans to share, and they were perfect. We all got sushi and loved the meal. The cocktails were really delicious too, with complex flavors blended artfully. This was my third visit, and possibly the best yet. Strongly recommend!

We eat out 5-7 times per week and this is one of my favorite places in the country…not just Birmingham. The food is consistently great, they have great variety and the prices are reasonable.

Last night our group had a wide variety of dishes and every thing was outstanding!  The service is also above average and the owners are in there nightly making sure the place runs smoothly.

I can be a real critic of restaurants as I have traveled extensively and experienced many types of food service.  You cannot go wrong with Bamboo…it is truly a gem!
