The barahini spelling rice with chicken and garlic Naan bread was perfect.  Washed it down with Kingfisher beer. Great meal!

If you are looking for some Indian bite in downtown Birmingham then this place is must , its near UAB and they have good food , good variety , good service and good atmosphere , they have a good bar section too , plenty of options from the bar area . The food is nice , they will cook however spicy or not you like . The staff is friendly and atmosphere is good .

My first visit. My son had been once before and said he thought I would like it. We enjoyed this little place and will be back to try more! We got there at 1:50 and they close @ 2:30. The buffett looked very (bad,dry, old food). And I feel like it’s because of the timing. We ordered from the menu and thought our food was very good.
The service was good but we felt a little rushed to finish. However, I do understand that it was getting close to 2:30.
The Drums of Heaven were fantastic!
This is such an attractive place. The decor and atmosphere are quite pleasing.
We will definitely be back and want to try again at night.

Stumbled into Bay Leaf while on a road-trip from New Orleans to Cleveland with my mother - and we couldn’t have been more satisfied with our split-second dinner decision. Each dish we ordered was absolutely delicious and unique, often with underlying similarities to traditional northern Indian dishes we were familiar with and fond of, but with wonderful twists in flavors, spicing, execution, and presentation. Every member of the staff was so kind and welcoming, offering us suggestions and insight about their immensely creative menu. The atmosphere and aesthetics inside perfectly complemented the inviting nature of the staff and made for an even more lovely experience. Can’t recommend this place enough - if you’re in Birmingham, you must go!

OK this place is an amazing restaurant. It is the bomb. And I ate off the $15 lunch buffet!!! The food here is the very best Indian food I have ever had.

It's stupid good. The end.
