Nice, friendly atmosphere. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It was good, very creamy. I prefer a dryer chicken salad but it was good. Excellent customer service and great sweet tea.

Good food for what is basically a fast food spot. Good and varied menu. Fast service. A little noisy at lunch, but really reliable food choices. The spicy shrimp pizza is delicious, crisp and fresh. A perfect summer lunch choice, and the strawberry cake is yum.

If you’re not familiar with this, Southern chain, give them a try. Their Newk’s Favorite salad is probably the best salad on earth – my opinion, of course! 😄but it is very very good. Great spot for soup, salads, sandwiches and personal size pizzas!

I was visiting my wife at UAB Hospital and decided to visit Newk’s because it was convenient. There was a great special price lunch for $9.99 and I added a cup of my favorite soup. Their Chicken Tortilla Soup is my favorite. I was promptly greeted and quickly ordered my lunch. The service was fast and the food was delivered to my table quickly. The entire experience was great.

Order taker wasn't exactly in tune with a new customer.  I ordered Dorotos because it came with chips, not realizing it was chips on my plate, not a separate bag. Could've helped me there.  Sandwich was small, good, but for 10.71, small.  Tea was great, cookie is small, but good.

All in all, for a small lunch, about what you'd want. I paid $17 with a small tip (not sure why I tipped, ordering at counter).  They do bring it to ya and remove your tray afterwards.  Could've cheaper, if the chips were explained and no side cookie.

I'll chalk it up to my first time inexperience, but often a server will offer, "Ya know it has chips on the plate, do ya still want a separate bag of chips"?
