Newk’s at McGowin Park location in Mobile, AL is the best! Friendly staff! My mom is a cancer survivor and is on a soft-palate diet so she is limited on what she can eat on a daily basis. She loves the lobster bisque and we get it for her several times a month. They have even sold us the large bags of it so that she can have it several times a week. She celebrated her birthday at Newk’s for the past two years. Thank you so much for the hospitality and kindness with great service. You literally helped my mother enjoy food again. 💛

I ordered potato soup without bacon. They put bacon in it, but the cashier handled it very well. The food was average, not as good as I have had at other new locations. The customer service was stellar. The cashier switched my soup to lobster bisque.

Passing through on a road trip and found this great place on a rainy night. We were hoping for some soup to warm ourselves, and we found it here. The young lady that took our order was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients, with patience and a beautiful smile. We had soup and half sandwiches, and soup either half salad. Everything was fantastic. Gumbo, loaded potato soups, French Dip, ham and cheese and salad the way whe wanted were all great! Thanks so much!
