Home cooking and friendly service. Probably one of the best breakfast we have had, but understand it's not chain restaurant prepared. The flavors are like your grandmother cooked it. Tea sweet, coffee smooth. The ham was just right. I had 1 pieces of fried fish with my breakfast and I fell in love! Casual feel. Take note weekend for catering so sit down served week days only. Could be a local favorite.

I use to eat once or twice a month when I was working. We came here 2or 3 months ago. It was OK. My husband suggested we go again today. I hate to say this but it was really bad. The mashed potatoes was not but boil potatoes with gravy on them. Even had the skins on the potatoes. Gravy was very salty. Fried chicken was dry and tough. The Green salad the lettuce was old and tough. My husband had fried pork chop was almost to tough to cut. He said the sqush and onions had not taste the cabbage was ok but he has had better. We won't be going back for a good while if ever.

Poor service. It should not take over 30 minutes to take someone's order especially when they are on a tight lunch schedule. We were never acknowledged. The server (the owners son) did not care that we walked out and his response to taking someone else's order before ours was "OK". We voted with our feet and walked out. This place is not recommended. They have no respect for longtime (25+ year) customers. They are often closed without prior notice.

Lunch was delicious and the service was excellent. The Mac and cheese, mmmm! The scalloped potatoes were awesome, also. The chicken and dumplings were good. My momma made them differently, so they weren't my favorite. I wish they made hot rolls. Otherwise, fantastic!!

Looking for a great hot breakfast? The country breakfast with bacon hit the spot. The bacon is cooked to crisp perfection. Coffee is served in oversized mugs that they keep filled. Recommend it!

Service and food are Excellent. Fried chicken is awesome and if you really want a treat, get the pulley bone dinner.

Very attentive and friendly service. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals as they were all fresh and hot from the kitchen (fried chicken special, cheeseburger, fried chicken livers). And honestly, I think that was the best fish sandwich I've ever had. The catfish was perfectly fried, piping hot, tender and flavorful.

We used the catering service - superb! The owner, Marcus Plump, is a true professional and an awesome chef. We planned our event completely over the phone and through the internet. The food was excellent, set up and break down was timely as planned. Don't look any further for down home good food and great service.
