Chicken tenders and the classic southern sides. My opinion: this place is great to bring young kids. If you want really good chicken, try somewhere else. But, for what they do, it works. The "dat sauce" which was described to me as Zaxby's sauce, is ok. The tenders were ok, fries were unique, I liked them but they were still just ok. It's a great location, fast-casual, and relatively quick service. Easy lunch option. There were a lot of kids in here. I almost felt like I was babysitting. They have a fairly extensive drink menu with cocktails like margaritas and transfusions, but no milkshakes! I feel like they need milkshakes to round out the menu. I'd come back again for a quick lunch, but might would prefer Real & Rosemary down the street.

My recent visit to Craft's left much to be desired. To start, it was uncomfortably cold inside--probably in the lower 60s--despite it being December. Oddly enough, it was warmer outside, even with a breeze. While we intended to stay for about an hour to visit with a family friend, the temperature made it an uncomfortable experience overall. There was no line when we arrived, but the ordering process felt disjointed. The menu was partially obscured by a wall partition and close proximity, making it awkward to view while following the directions to "place your order here." Still, the menu offered a decent variety of options. I ordered a Turkey Bacon Guac wrap and a water, while others in my party of five ordered similar items. However, an odd situation arose when I tried to pay for my friend (one of my five), a uniformed police officer. The staff debated in front of me about whether or not he should receive a discount and how to go about it. While I ultimately paid full price--which I didn't mind--the public discussion felt unnecessary and a bit uncomfortable. As a veteran, I openly appreciate any discount and do not complain whether it is or isn't--the discount is much appreciated and something they do not have to do. However, to debate it like this is uncalled for. At checkout, the point-of-sale system prompted me for a tip, which seems to be the new norm even for counter-service establishments. Since it was Christmas and I didn't have cash for a tip later, I opted to leave 20%. In hindsight, I regretted this decision almost immediately. For a party of five, the total came to $81 and change--20% felt steep given what would become a lack of service. After being handed our cups and directed to the fountain drink station, we chose to sit outside, as it was more comfortable than the freezing indoor seating. Unfortunately, this decision reinforced my regret about tipping 20% upfront, especially given the lack of follow-up service. The food arrived after about 15 minutes. My wrap was fresh and flavorful but noticeably dry. I later realized it was missing the "White Lightning" sauce listed on the menu, which might have made a big difference. I should have asked about it, so I'll take partial responsibility there. The real disappointment was the side item--fruit. It was an uninspiring assortment of what appeared to be canned melon. I managed to eat a single grape before leaving the rest untouched. To make matters worse, after the food was delivered, we didn't see another employee again. I had to go inside twice--once to ask for silverware and again to clean up and separate the dishes, trays, and trash myself. In summary: * Food: 3 stars - Decent but flawed execution (dry wrap, poor fruit selection). * Environment: 3 stars - Freezing indoor seating made it uncomfortable. * Service: 1 star - Limited interaction and no follow-up after delivery. Overall Rating: 2 stars. If I ever visit again, I'll come prepared: * Bring a jacket, even though I am hot-natured. * Pay for any uniformed guest separately. * Confirm sauces and sides are included before the food deliverer leaves. * Avoid the fruit side altogether. * Ask for silverware upfront. * Bring cash for post-tip if warranted and answer "-$0-" at the misleading PoS prompt. For now, I can't recommend this restaurant based on my experience. It may be the only option on Sunday afternoon if you have family working at the police department across the street and you want to spend some time with them, but the location is the only solid compliment I can muster from my visit.

Very cute place reminds me of a little cafeteria We came in support of BRW & tried their special it was pretty good I got the dark meat & the chicken was good but a little too crispy for me likings I had more crunch than meat the food was ok the service was great & id bring the hubs back to try this us more of his food type but nevertheless they were pretty good

YOU MAC ME SO HAPPY Around this time last year as I was still getting adjusted to my new home, I took a walk down in the Crestline part of Mountain Brook. It is beautiful with gorgeous buildings and happy people walking the streets. The small business scene is big in and around this area as well. Craft's had caught my eye then, but I had had already eaten so I decided on saving it for another day. This day came soon enough. I made it a point yesterday to come and check out the new businesses in Crestline. There have been so many new openings in and around our city in the past couple of years, so I knew I needed to come and check them out. Not that Crafts is new, I believe it's been around for a while now. Though they are about to open their brand new location over on Richard Arrington. Now if there opening a new location you know damn well they have to be doing something right. I came inside yesterday not knowing what to expect. The reviews online seem mediocre at best, but I am hoping with more reviews this spot can make a killing. Crafts is right in the middle of causal dining and fast food. Not too fast foody, nor not too casual either. You walk in and order and the counter. From there they will give you a number. I ordered the Mac Stack and it was pretty good. A beautiful chicken cutlet fried to perfection with a pile of Mac and cheese on top. The bun had house,add ranch and pickles on it too. The sandwich was amazing. I know that recently Chick Fil A had a trend on Tik Tok where you could create the same type of sandwich, but this one is all in one. Where you don't have to excessively spend on sandwich and sides. Yet instead this is an all in one type deal. In some of the other reviews, I did notice that items being missed is something that does happen here. And yes it happened to me as well. When I got my food, I needed a knife to cut the sandwich. But I was only given a fork on my tray. I asked the lady at the front for a knife and she apologized. I would have to say that I would prefer to not have to get up again because of a missed item and would need for the staff to pay a little extra attention, but maybe that's just me. After cutting my sandwich in half I noticed another thing. The sauce on the sandwich only appeared to be on one half of it. I would much rather prefer that when I cut into my sandwich that both halves have the same amount of condiments. The house made ranch is very good, but felt it was missed on one half of my sandwich. Overall, I loved the food, the vibes and the atmosphere here. People are nice, but need to pay a bit more attention.

Better chicken places in the area. Totally disappointed in lukewarm chicken tenders, macaroni with barely cheese, and tasteless soup. Most amazingly we ordered fountain drinks and the ice dispenser on the fountain was broken so we asked the cashier for ice and they said they didn't have any. It's less than 100 steps from the Piggly Wiggly where they could buy ice. Pretty bad management ! May be petty but not a choice in the future !

Craft's is a true gem in Mountain Brook with incredible salads and equally as incredible chicken bites, especially when paired with the hot honey dipping sauce. I've had the kale salad with grilled chicken and the Greek salad with grilled chicken, and both were super tasty and filling. Really solid portions and a good amount of chicken on top. The kale salad was made and dressed really well (it has a lemon Dijon vinaigrette), so that the kale wasn't too dry or rough. Thankfully my brother joined me on my second visit here and he got the chicken bites and fries with hot honey. It truly blew me away. The chicken wasn't greasy and the hot honey.... *chefs kiss*. They have plentiful outdoor seating that's well spread out during Covid times, and heaters around the tables as it starts to get cold. A+ all around.

I've been wanting to try this place ever since I was walking past it one day. It looks so cute and inviting. My boyfriend and I tried it this weekend and ordered it as a pickup order. They were super fast! I think our orders were ready within 5 minutes of placing them. I ordered the Mac Stack with a side of fries while he got a quesadilla and a side of fries. The Mac Stack is basically a fried chicken sandwich with macaroni and cheese on top. The fries are cut in a curly wedge shape. This was the best chicken sandwich and the best fries I've ever had! They really know what they're doing. The chicken sandwich and fry portions were both huge! If you're trying to diet share it with a friend that way you don't compromise on good food, just the portion size. The fries were so crisp, and the chicken sandwich was so tender. This experience was near perfect. The only problem I encountered was that I was taking it to go and eating it at the soccer field. They didn't give us any napkins, utensils, or ketchup. I wouldn't be able to get any of these things at the ball field either so that was inconvenient. If I was eating at home I would have all these things on hand and probably wouldn't think twice about them not offering these to me so that's the only reason this was just shy of a 5 star experience. The employee was nice, but I do wish he would have asked if we needed any of these things.

Best chicken sandwich in town. Great, food. Fast and friendly service. I didn't think I'd like the fries, from looking at them, but they were delicious. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items.
