Oh wow - we bought some food from the truck. It was delicious. We had the fresh rolls, fried rolls and sticky rice. All of this was so good - I wasn't expecting it. The fried rolls had a little bit of spice, which I appreciated. The service was quick and the lady at the window was really nice.

The chicken skewers are my favorite!! Amazing flavor, good value, will buy again. If you haven't tried them, I highly recommend, their food is delicious.

Had the pork fried rice special and it was so amazing! Ate it all gone before I even thought about taking a photo of it. Hope they keep it on the rotation, cause the only thing that comes close is the Pad Thai (which is very good) but this is in a league all on its own!!!!

Went to Delaney Park today with my family to check out all of the amazing cars they had at car show. The gentleman was very polite and patient as I was fighting the urge to order the entire menu . I ordered the shrimp fried rice, Thai tea, fresh rolls, & fried rolls. Everything was delicious, fresh, piping hot, and didn't lack any flavor. I'll definitely be on a first name basis with this business. I can't wait to go back again.

Where have you been all my life?! I've known about Papaya Tree for a while. They are usually at Cynosure brewing on Sundays. But, we are usually trying to get back into Anchorage on Sunday, and...early brewery closing times being what they are...have been unable to try Papaya Tree. To know where they are on a given day, you have to check their Facebook page! Anyway, Cynosure was going to be closed for Easter, and I got my 2nd COVID shot the day before Easter...so the stars aligned and we went to Cyno to celebrate...and Papaya was there! First: the folks that run this are tired with IHOHD (International House of Hot Dogs) for being the friendliest business owners in all of Anchorage. They are incredible! Second: I love their slogan "unmessed with Asian street food". I'm not at all an expert but the food seems to be largely Thai-focused with some Lao and Vietnam influences. The food is incredible! Their take on some of these classics (Pad Thai) is the best I've had in Anchorage. And their skewers are...also the best I've had in Anchorage! I will definitely be back, I'll make it a point to head to Cyno on Sundays now, if I can!

Found this place by accident when we were checking out a business nextdoor. Small menu of items - IMMEDIATELY settled on the Pad Thai since so many places in town dont make it properly I was hoping it would be good. Aslo got garlic chicken for my honey and a Thai Tea. I ordered and since it was super cold out the gentleman who waited on me took my number so I could wait in my car. He texted me a short time later. The pad thai was excellent, and the portion was enormous. I would not order the Thai Tea again, there was something just not quite right about it. It wasn't bad, just not how I like it. My husband liked his garlic chicken, but he did note that Ray's is better (but he is also very much a creature of habit.) I noticed a sign that indicated Door Dash is an option, so that's cool for a food truck.

We tried them at the Gold Nugget Triathlon today, and they had excellent food. We had the basil shrimp, fresh rolls, and chicken skewers. The basil shrimp was very flavorful, a little spicy, but perfect for our palates. The rolls were good, and similar to others we've had with fresh basil. There is a small sliver of fried spam rolled inside, which was a little surprising , but it was still good. The highlight however, was the chicken skewers. Excellent, with a little crispy skin on the outside. We almost went back for seconds, but decided to try again another time. Highly recommend!

If you are unsure on where to eat and want to support a local food truck Papaya Tree is where to order! The portion sizes are very well! The flavor on the different foods they serve is amazing. Probably one of the best Pad Thai I've had in Alaska! The chicken skewers and fried rolls have a lot of flavor and the sauce that comes with them adds a little bit of spice to it! It's hard not to drive to Papaya Tree and order the whole menu! I suggest going early so you can taste their Daily Special!

Okay guys, stop wasting time and just order. The pad Thai? The best I've ever had. The chicken skewers? PHENOMENAL. The papaya salad? Immaculate (but make sure you get mild if you want to enjoy without chugging water every 30 seconds LOL). I've also tried their cold noodle salad special and it was to die for. This food truck provides QUALITY meals at an amazing price and has some of the best costumer service in the industry. I really can't say enough good things about them. We eat here multiple times a month. Do yourself a favor and just order.
