Oh my gosh I just can't say enough about our experience with Jayleen's Alaska. We had the pleasure of having our tour conducted by Captain Larry. He was incredible. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. He was full of information about Alaska and whales. He made it a true experience and one that our 5 year old granddaughter will never forget!

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to leave a review, but Jayleen was amazing when my family came to visit Alaska and go whale watching. She is a local that had endless information about the area, the wildlife, and she was happy to share more about her experience growing up and starting her business. It's a very small business but the experience was better than any large company we have used in the past. She knows the best spots for watching and made the experience interactive and fun for everyone. Cannot recommend her enough

Amazing experience whale watching. Our Captain Jim was knowledgeable, funny and very persistent about ensuring we got to see whales. Sea lions too. We were lucky to see a "bubble feeding" event that included a large group of Humpback Whales. Our view from the small boat was terrific and Jim kept moving so we were in a great position and saw the whales many times from a close distance. Great company. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience from the first email to the final minute of the tour. Saw more than we expected, with breathtaking 360 degree views. Jayleen is very knowledgeable and really puts a lot of effort into making sure your tour is customized and informative. What a wonderful day we had. Thank you so much for all the local tips and recommendations as well. I think it's important to note that Jayleen's Alaska is a born and raised Alaskan, female owned company. Jayleen also did a phenomenal job accommodating a large service dog.

I highly recommend Jayleen's Alaska for whale watching tours in Juneau. It is a small, Alaskan-owned business. Luke did a great job guiding our private tour. He helped my senior parents get onto the boat and brought us to whale watching spots not available to bigger boats. On the drive back to the cruise ship, we were also able to stop by to view Mendenhall Glacier from across a lake. Luke was punctual with pick-up and drop-off, and there were no issues with returning to the cruise ship on time.

10/10 experience! Jayleen's was so communicative and easy to work with. Upon booking, detailed instructions regarding the day of our excursion were emailed and texted to us, including a follow up number if we had questions that day. Our amazing tour guide, Jim, picked us up at the port. It was a short 15-20 minute drive to the marina. He pointed out Mendenhall glacier, eagles, and other scenery along the way. The boat, Island Girl, was a perfect, cozy size for our family of 5. Complementary snacks and drinks, a restroom, and binoculars were available on the boat. Jim was extremely knowledgeable of the area, islands, wildlife, and especially whales. We saw 10-15 whales in the 3 hours on the water! We would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a private tour.

Amazing adventure being able to hear the whales when they surface! Did expect to see a whale completely come out of the water and create a massive splash. Jeremy was an amazing captain and tour guide! When in Juneau choose Jayleen's - great vessels that travel with a max of 6 passengers - not a crowded tour boat!

We had a very nice time watching a good 7 different whales in different locations surfacing and diving for at least 2 hours today. Luke was a great captain and very informative on whales and some history of Juneau. We had a great time and will do it again on our next trip to Juneau.

The best whale watching experience ever! We saw so many whales and Jayleen even took us to see some seals a few miles away which other whale watching tours don't go to. Only six on the boat so don't have to try to see around a bunch of people. She even has soft drinks and snacks if you want them. Highly recommend, but book early as she books up fast!

My wife researched like crazy as she planned our Alaska vacation. She happened upon Jayleen's Alaska and decided quickly that we were going to use her services. As soon as the trip was booked we received a confirmation email from Jayleen, and she kept in contact as our trip grew near. A couple of days before our trip Jayleen sent an update as where we would meet her, the two possible types of vehicles that would pick us up, and she told us to be punctual as that would give us the maximum amount of time for our whale watching tour. We arrived with 10 minutes to spare and she promptly picked us up and we took a short ride to pick up two other passengers. While on the way to the marina, she took time to get to know each of us, and called us all by name. She pointed out Mendenhall Glacier on our trip, and told us very interesting facts about Juneau as well. We got to the boat which was immaculately clean and she showed us where all the safety gear was, as well as what to do in the event something happened to her and she wasn't able to drive the boat. A short safety procedures talk ensued and then she showed us the drinks and snack area. Then we were off. Within 15 minutes we were watching our first two whales that were traveling together. 15 minutes. We watched for a while and then we decided to go to another place. That's when we were able to see the sea lions in the picture, another glacier and a light house all at the same time. After that we started heading back, and came upon two different whales, so we stopped again. Over the next hour we saw a total of six other whales. It was truly amazing, and Jayleen was just as excited as we were. You can tell she genuinely loves these magnificent creatures. Whatever the cost, it is well worth it. Jayleen is the best, and the experiences you get will last you a lifetime, but I'm betting we see her again!
