This is the best place in Anchorage for a big breakfast! The waffles are excellent (I recommend the Sinner), the chicken is crispy and delicious, and they make my favorite Mac in town. Definitely worth a stop.

Amazing!!! We went one time because it was on Food Network, and made sure to go again before the end of our trip. Your first time, they will choose your first order, keeping in mind whether you prefer sweet, savory, or both. And if you don’t like it within 2 bites, you can choose something else! Our meals were so delicious!!! Great service, great food, 1000% recommend.

I frequently ask restaurants to “surprise me.” At Waffles and Whatnot, that’s Policy for first time diners! The gentleman asked me a few questions and chose my breakfast. My surprise was excellent fried chicken and an artistically presented waffle with fresh fruit, delicious Carmel and whipped cream. This tasty and filling surprise was much better and more fun  than I would’ve selected! Thanks, man!

The first time you go to this restaurant they choose what you eat. It was a weird experience but it worked out well cuz otherwise we would have just stuck to the sweet stuff and considered it unhealthy, instead of realizing that they had things as healthy as spinach omelets.

If you love sweet and savory flavors, or chicken and waffles, you'll love this place. Their homemade chicken and hot sauce is the highlight, IMO. Juicy and delicious breading, not too much to take away from the chicken. The hot sauce (mild) is also incredible, creamy, flavorful. It's made in house! You can buy it at the restaurant (along with the breading and waffle mix). 95% of what's served is made in house, really impressive.
