Disappointing. I ordered a deep dish cheese pizza with all sorts of toppings and look how THIN they made it! Deep dish pizza is supposed to be tall! I had it before and this was not what I expected. Taste was pretty good but again, it was not deep dish pizza. Too bad because we drove 20 miles just to try it hoping that it was authentic deep dish but no, you’re better off with Rosati’s.

I find it hard to say I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza from Slice of Chicago, mainly because it's simply not true. The pizza, while made properly, lacked flavor and toppings, while simultaneously providing too much sauce, which over powered the flavor of the rest of the pizza. Maybe that is the point? Use a lot of sauce to cover up the blandness of the cheese and crust?

Regardless, overall, I am unsatisfied with the pizza I had today. It cost $14.85 for a thin crust, 14" one topping pizza. To be completely honest, I've had Little Caesar's pizza that would beat this pizza, for a lot less. I'm giving Slice of Chicago 3 stars because their pizza is nothing special. It is just good. That's all.

Advisory: there is street parking (marked in white lines in front of the establishment) and there is also parking in the rear. Also, the prices via Google are not the same prices they have in the restaurant. It is about $1 more expensive per item, if you are going off their menu. However, they are willing to honor the prices shown on Google, if you show it to them.

I'm going to dream about this deep dish pizza! The sauce is absolutely incredible. You can tell it's made in house. This place is going to be a regular spot for our family! I strongly recommend it!

THIS! This is the pizza I've been looking for since moving here from Illinois 5.5 years ago! Perfectly cooked & crunchy thin crust, awesome sauce, fresh, flavorful ingredients. One of the best Combo sandwiches, too. Great giardiniera & bread. Ron & Cy are both hospitable, friendly, and a pleasure to chat with. My new go-to for pizza, and anything else that they have!

Great food! If you miss the Chicago style Italian beef sandwich or Italian sausage, you won't be disappointed here. If you are a local, it's a great way to experience one of the best things about Chicago without having to endure the horrible weather.

Returning a week later, we tried the Meat-Lovers' Pizza. Fantastic Chicago-style, too. It's the thin-crust, brick-oven variety. Each meat was fresh and tasty. The sauce is a delicious proprietary recipe. The cheese  was a good quality as well.

It was served piping hot and was delicious. One word of caution, it was not quite as tasty when it cooled off. So, we recommend eating it as soon as you can. But don't get me wrong, the cooled-off slice was still more taller than many pizzas when they are fresh out of the oven.
