Not my favorite. Portions were extremely small for the price and the teriyaki chicken wasn’t good. Sauce was extremely bitter and the broccoli tasted bad as well. Placed a to go order during lunch and staff was nice but don’t think I’ll be coming again. Mind you, these are their chef bowls priced at $10 with tiny portions so I can’t imagine what the value bowls would be considering they’re $8. The chicken wasn’t seasoned much either, very bland.

The portions were quite large. The red bowls were medium and plenty for an adult lunch. The seasoning and sauce options were great. Prices were steep in my opinion but it was a nice change to other options similar to this restaurant. Nothing amazing about this food but likely would go back.

The staff was welcoming and attentive, upon our arrival. If you're new to this restaurant,  they explain the process, should you choose to build your own bowl. We chose the option to build our own bowls and it was delicious. 🥣🥩🥦🥬🫑🌶🥕🥔🥚🥢🍴🍹🍻

My family and I decided to give this place a shot on Father's Day and it was the worst decision we could have made.

Walking in, the place was a little busy but not packed. We were seated immediately but we waited almost 20 mins for a server. We were assigned a guy named Conrad. He explained to us how to order and we placed our order with him. Our order took well over 45 mins to completely get to us, with my four year old receiving his food last and almost 10 mins after my husband and I and my seven year old got ours.

My food was missing ingredients and a drink I ordered never came, my husband's food looked downright gross and the rice was very undercooked. The kids meals were fine beyond the one meal taking ages to come out.

The staff wasn't communicating so we had the same questions asked of us over and over. The whole atmosphere was chaotic. Finally we were fed up and asked for the manager and server Conrad bold face lied and said there was no manager. I asked him again and this time he says something like lemme go get him.

The general manager was great. Polite, friendly, and seemed to be doing his best to deal with everything going on. Our bill was basically covered and he gave us coupons to try the again. I can tell you right now, as nice as he was, it didn't make up for an awful father's day meal experience.

This is the first time in Phoenix visiting a Genghis Grill, but we've been to GG in another state plenty of times before. We love the experience as it is unmatched as far as I can tell in terms of customizability. The bowl always turns out flavorful no matter what your choices are of meat, vegetables, spices, and sauces. They have put Covid precautions in place too so you get gloves to handle the utensils and the kitchen people will hand you your bowl to fill. Once you're done putting in everything your server will bring you your bowl when it's ready. It's so good you won't regret going. Also the chocolate brownie for dessert is well worth getting. It was delicious !
