I showed my best pick at this place. We order same food every time and it’s never get boring. We go there every week. So good quality products and always fresh. The service is outstanding! They always welcome us and provide the best customer experience 👍🏻 if you are looking for a good place to get acquainted with Chinese food, Shaanxi is the best for me!

Hands-down, my favorite Chinese restaurant for authentic Chinese cuisine. I literally eat here once a week and have been working my way through the entire menu. Everything is phenomenal, and the staff is extremely friendly. You won’t be disappointed

Mapo Tofu was not spicy at all despite me requesting it to be. Plus it had a lot of Bok Choy which is not something that should be in Mapo Tofu so I paid for vegetables which is ridiculous. Should be authentic but wasn’t.

The cold skin noodles weren't great either. The sauce was watery and the noodles didn’t taste good cold. Thought it would be better with a flavorful sauce but nope.

Cashier/waiter was nice and my order was packed well.

Food was lackluster and didn’t taste like it should and is way too expensive for the quantity and quality.

A couple of weeks ago, I had my car in the shop near Shaanxi. I saw it, and looked -up the Google reviews. Ian Bennett said,
"Loved the dried green beans and the spicy cumin lamb noodles."' My taste buds immediately perked-up, and I went in to try them out.

The decor is excellent, and helps immerse you into the experience. Tables are spacious, and the chairs are comfortable. The wall at the end of the bar highlights several of their positive reviews. There are two large screen TVs over the bar playing culturally related fare. If you dine alone, at least you can take-in the visuals, LOL.

The menu is simply HUGE. You must keep in mind that you may need to take several mins just to explore all of the options. There is a solid description of most every dish. My server was excellent, and he was able to explain most every dish, as well.

I had both of what Ian mentioned, which were excellent. I added the spicey-tripe, which was served as a cold dish. Unfortunately, I didn't take pics of any of those. However, the biang-biang noodles are an experience, for sure. Two or three feet long, about an inch-wide, thick and chewy goodness. The lamb was finely chopped, and the dish also had small cubed potatoes and some other veggies. The green beans were presented covered with what appeared to be coarse ground pepper, and bits of dried red chilis. However, it was quite mild and not at all peppery. Just right.

Knowing what I know now, I would have ordered that tripe toned-down, LOL. It didn't 'hurt' me, but it was about at the top of my tolerance level.  Indeed, the vast majority of the hundreds of choices display the little red chili pepper symbol. I confirmed with the server that most of them...but not all...can be served in more mild fashion. You need to ask if you have any concerns.

My second visit included what I pictured here. Rice porridge with century egg and mushroom, and the shredded pork 'hamburger' are hot dishes. Chilled garlic cucumber salad, and spicey garlic pork were cold dishes. The porridge was huge, mild, and delicious. The pattie was mild and tasty, with a wonderul flaky outer pocket. I poured a bit of porridge over it to add a bit more moisture as I ate it. (I have to add sauce to pulled pork at a BBQ, also, LOL). The sliced pork I make sure to order 'easy', and yet...there was just a hint there to maintain flavor. The cuke salad is a fave of mine when I see it, and this was no exception. Crisp, fresh, and savory

The sandwhich is filling enough to be a meal, and could easily be cut in half. The soup could serve a small bowl probably up to eight quite easily. Indeed, everything I have so far ordered here can easily be split to be shared and enjoyed. You NEED to check this place out, and I suspect you will become an instant fan, as I have.

Came here on recommendation from a friend and absolutely loved it. Our server was so friendly and the food was delicious! Loved the dried green beans and the spicy cumin lamb noodles. I don’t know how they make these noodles, but it was like strands of Chinese lasagna that stretched for yards. I’m still working on how to use chopsticks with amazing long noodles like that, but any attempt is well-rewarded!  Will come back here for sure!!!
