Delicious Indian cuisine! We’ve tried many here in the valley but we’re never really impressed. Al Hamra has that flavor we were missing from Indian/Pakistani restaurants in SF. Our server Jose & the chef were super nice, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The chef even asked us what we thought of our food. He explained that they use organic chicken, pure wholesome spices and fresh ingredients to create their delightful dishes.  They made us feel so welcomed and special. Can’t wait to come back and try their other dishes.

Ordered for the 1st time to pick up, from the Via Linda location. The food was absolutely delicious, perfect amount of spices and the quantity was plenty to feed 2 hungry adults! Packaging was very secure and it was made to order! Extra fresh  and hot! We got the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Masala with Samosas! I will definitely order from them again! And highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try amazing Indian food!

I have had a few of the curries, chicken tikka masala and naan from Al Hamra, all were exceptional. Chicken TIkka Masala was well balanced with savory and sweetness. The curry is very hearty and even a small amount will leave you feeling full for a long long time. I can't think of another Indian place I'd prefer in town over Al Hamra!

We had tried Al Hamra on Pinnacle Peak about 8 years ago and enjoyed the food. We are pleased they have another location nearer us on Via Linda. We tried 4 different dishes. Food was well prepared and service was excellent. We especially enjoyed the chicken vidaloo.  Heat is measured as 1 being mild and 10 being most heat. We tried 2 dishes at 4 and 2 at 3. I suggest unless you really enjoy hot food that 4 or less is the best choice. Atmosphere is pleasant except we thought the TV with dancing with the Indian music was somewhat distracting. Also, the naan bread was very good. Wine list is more extensive than we expected.

Delicious! Doesn’t even compete with other Indian restaurants in the valley. I sometimes get frustrated because other places can’t match my need for spice - Al Hamra delivers! Asked for a 12 spice level out of 10, and it was perfect. Their mango lassi is the best I’ve ever had. Great experience!
