This place is amazing!! I've been here several times and each time the food and service are fantastic!  It's real authentic Italian food served in a friendly, warm and knowledgeable manner!. They don't serve wine, but simply pop in to the convenience store next to the restaurant and you're set!

Basil & Garlic is such a hidden gem! It’s a cute little BYOB Italian spot in a neighborhood strip center, with a cozy indoor space and a charming patio that’s perfect for a relaxed meal. The food is so good – I especially love their basil and garlic pizza with sausage and sun-dried tomatoes. It’s always fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right.

The customer service is always on point, too. Everyone there is so friendly, helpful, and accommodating – you really feel welcomed every time you go.

If I had one tiny suggestion, it would be for the interior lighting to have a warmer feel. It’s such a minor detail that’s easy to overlook because everything else is so great, but I think it would make a massive difference in enhancing the atmosphere and overall vibe.

That said, this place is still a 10/10 for me. If you’re looking for amazing Italian food in a laid-back, charming setting, I can’t recommend it enough!

I was just passing through the area and decided I wanted some pizza. Quick google search, and I decided to try Basil & Garlic, and may I say there Pizza Italia is the best pizza I've ever tried. If you love ricotta and pesto, I highly recommend it. The service was fantastic, the other customers friendly and recommending of their favorites, the entire experience was amazing. I guinuely enjoyed my conversation with my waiter and the food is giving me thoughts of moving to the area. 10/10 recommend 👌

Wow! What an incredible find! We were in North Scottsdale and stumbled across this locally owned family place that is fantastic!

There are 10 tables indoors and a cute little patio as well. They don't serve alcohol, but there is a shoppette next where you can purchase and bring in for a very reasonable corkage fee.

Service was fast and friendly. I loved the open kitchen, especially when we could hear the chef singing along to the radio.

I had the signature dish, the BG Pasta. I ordered it with penne and shrimp. It was amazing! A creamy basil sauce with plump shrimp and perfectly cooked pasta. My friend had the eggplant parmesan with a a side of angel hair and marina. She loved every bite.

I also had a side house salad and was shocked at how tasty it was. The sliced pepperonci added such a great flavor.

We couldn't pass up the garlic bread with cheese and so glad we didn't!

This is out of the way for me, but I will absolutely visit again.

TLDR best little place for delicious italian food.
The atmosphere is light hearted and fun. You will occasionally hear the owner/Chef Claudio sing along or whistle to whatever song is playing.
The decor is a very nice fit.
The service is polite with a smile and on point.
The food. Garlic bread was flavorful. Caesar salad really tasted fresh. The lasagna was delicious and the quattro formaggio was cheesey, tender noodles, and juicy tender chicken. The canolli was just right.
No complaints.
