A NIGHTMARE for What Should've Been a Joyous Occassion I hosted my 30th birthday brunch at The Belvedere, the overall experience was deeply disappointing and frustrating. The food was served cold I, the guest of honor, received my meal last. The service staff was disorganized and unprofessional: drinks were served in glasses with visible mold, a guest was spilled on with syrup, place cards were ignored. (Which I had to MAKE MYSELF to add) After submitting a detailed formal complaint, their response was both disappointing and dismissive. They blamed the cold food and disorganized service on my late arrival -- which, while true, does not excuse the breakdown in execution. The original schedule was for starters to be served at 12:45 and entrées at 1:10. Due to my delay, starters were served at 1:20 -- only 35 minutes off -- yet entrées didn't arrive until 2:30, nearly an hour later. Even with the slight delay in the start, the kitchen had ample time to follow the adjusted timeline. Their excuse was that the food was ready at 12:45 -- but if that's the case, why was it not served until nearly two hours later, after we'd already finished starters by 1:45? Rather than take any accountability for the cold meals, lack of coordination, and overall poor service, they deflected blame and offered no refund, no accommodation, and no solutions. At first they offered to sit down with us & the team to discuss further. But once we added we wanted to bring statements from guest to eliminate the "he said, she said"at the advice of an attorney, they stopped communicating with us entirely. After we pleaded with them that we were not seeking council or legal action they still never responded. The lack of professionalism and unwillingness to make things right only deepened the disappointment. This was supposed to be a joyful milestone event, and instead it became a source of stress and embarrassment. I do not recommend The Belvedere for any event unless you want terrible service, communication, and professionalism. If you stayed this far the venue was beautiful. But at what cost? Not the amount of money, time & effort put into this day to just be silenced and not considered at all.

This is by far the worst establishment I've ever worked out as a vendor in 21 years of djing. the most disrespectful and disgusting people I've ever encountered in my entire life. Never have I ever been into a place or genuinely felt like people who were attending the event as guests could effectively run the establishment better than those who are actually paid to do this. Poor attitude, deplorable demeanor and with out a doubt The worst place I've ever worked. and I have played all over the country.

I read these positive reviews before booking and was incredibly disappointed to have a different experience. Future brides; and please read our warning and save yourself the disappointment. Venue specific feedback: It was incredibly hot and humid inside the building. One of the main reasons we chose this venue was because we wanted to be out of the heat but everyone ended up sweating bullets because apparently the building i/ too old to cool properly. They didn't even have the air on in the parlor suite where we got ready so makeup was melting off as it was being applied. We were incredibly uncomfortable and the humidity turned my hair into a frizzy mess that was super frustrating. I would absolutely not recommend a summer event at the Belvedere for that reason. It has all the drawbacks of an outdoor space with none of the benefits. Reception specific feedback: I paid around $600 for fruit and cheese displayed appetizer and multiple guests got rotten berries. Strawberries with obvious ugly brown spots. I thought my friend must be mistaken but then I went over and I got rotten fruit too. I would never serve that in my home and was incredibly disappointed to serve it at our wedding. We paid around 600 for a single baked Brie en croute pastry that our guests had to cut themselves. I'm assuming it wasn't sliced because then it would have been even more obvious that that isn't 40 servings. We had small plates fish and short rib for the dinner portion. I was charged for each guest to have one of each but when they went to be served the server made them choose beef or fish giving guests the impression they could only have one. They should have been in offered beef fish or both that's what I paid for. I paid for double the food that guests were actually offered. I also paid for two attendants but every time I looked over, there was only one. There was a bunch of nickel and diming over petty things. Example: the microphone for the ceremony and reception was an additional rental fee of $75 each. I was charged $200 for a table for dessert (that we had already paid the baker to set up). At that point just raise the venue rental fee with the initial quote. I don't want to deal with petty charges like that. I had enough to think about. I was happy on my wedding day. I'll have good memories of my wedding, but I would absolutely never recommend this venue to anyone. Maybe our 13k fee wasn't big enough for them to bring out the 5 star experience but our wedding was hot sticky and just generally below expectation.

Views: Best in Baltimore Food: Delicious Drinks: Flowing and generous My brunch at the Belvedere 13th Floor was one I'll never forget. Our server, Julianne, was knowledgeable about the hotel's history and was there for our every want (before we even knew we wanted it!). The food was delicious (highly recommend the ham and brie panini, to die for!) Come here if you want great service, delicious food, and a luxury feel without the luxury price. One of my favorite days in Baltimore so far.

This review is for 13 Floor at the Belvedere..... Let me start with the biscuits were the only thing exceptional about this establishment. The service was below acceptable, the servicer on a few occasions forgot our order. We had to ask for the manager which wasn't any better, she ended the conversation with "say less", I had to laugh because I couldn't believe it. The service is below industry standards and I will not return.

Thank you for hosting our 50th Wedding Anniversary Renewal Celebration on Sunday, November 19, 2023. We commend the entire staff for their excellence in making our celebration unforgettable. The Palm Ballroom was beautifully decorated and arranged for our party of nineteen. Our guests commented on the excellent meal, which was served with elegance. The Historic Belvedere was the perfect venue for such an important moment in our lives. We are delighted to recommend The Belvedere & Co. to others looking for a venue to host an event.

I could not have imagined a more beautiful place to get married. Living in the neighborhood, I thought I would only be able to dream of getting married here and it really is amazing how this dream came true. Their event planning style was perfect for us. Venue, catering, event coordinators and a planning guide all included together which made every step of the process a breeze. The organization among all of the event coordinators was incredible. They all really made us feel like family from the moment we first toured until we packed up our final things at the end of the reception. One ongoing perk we will surely take advantage of is the lifetime VIB discount at the Owl Bar! Incredibly professional and an organization that really knows what they are doing. Would love to do it all over again! The 13th floor is now only open for private events but I say it's a perfect opportunity to host an amazing party!

I had my son's engagement at this venue. The 13th floors' view is spectacular. My issues were: communication with the party coordinators is very difficult. They charge a ton of fees on everything, including taxing the $2,000 venue fee. They also charge a 23% service charge on the top of the bill. When asked what that paid for, I was told the staffing. I had to pay at least $175 for each staff member, including someone to dip our ice cream for the dessert bar, so the staffing was paid for...CRAZY!!! The bar staffing (which I paid extra for additional bartenders) were rude, abrupt and downright ignorant to my guests. THE STATION FOOD WAS HORRIBLE...and expensive. The sliders were dry and cold (all 4 kinds); we ran out of bread for the crab dip and they refused to bring more; the dry rub chicken wings were like having a mouth full of powder. The butlered food was better but not worth the $$$. I would stay away from this place for an event. Like I said, the view was nice but it is certainly not worth the $$$. Just visit the Owl Bar.

I was happy to hear the 13th Floor finished their renovations! They opened just in time for Halloween and the place is gorgeous. The 13th Floor is located in the Belvedere which used to be a hotel that hosted celebrities and has since been converted into condominium units. They have valet parking which is nice if you can't find any street parking. It was $5 when I went but didn't need it and got a close spot. Walk in and you'll see a little bell-hop desk in and to the right. Take that elevator up to the 13th Floor. There's nothing to be scared about, even on Halloween :-) The place isn't huge and the views of the city are worth at least one trip here. They have awesome stained glass-type art pieces and have remodeled with red velvety decor. There's a decent size bar and I wouldn't say I thought the cocktails drinks are fabulous but we had a great time. Rafael is a really fun server and next time I'm going to take his advice and try the scallops.
