Was on the Michelin guide. One of the juiciest brisket that I’ve had. Beef ribs only available on weekends though. Parking at $5/hr just beside the restaurant. Order once you enter the restaurant and then the server will help you get a table. Wasn’t that busy on a Friday for lunch but I’m sure it fills up quickly on the weekends. Well worth a visit.

This spot in Oakland was a great surprise. Although the city sometimes has a negative reputation, the area is calm and charming, and the restaurant definitely delivers. The atmosphere inside is cozy, with pleasant decor and a well-stocked bar. I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad, paired with a Lagunitas IPA, which was a perfect match. The bread is soft and full of flavor, and the brisket is perfectly cooked, juicy, and well-seasoned. I tried all three BBQ sauces (spicy, classic, and mustard), and each one complemented the brisket’s flavor wonderfully.

The service, while friendly, was a bit limited; however, the staff was attentive as needed. I would have liked to try the hot links, but they weren’t available this time, so I hope to go back for them.

Overall, it’s a highly recommended spot to enjoy good food and a pleasant atmosphere in Oakland. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because of the service, but without a doubt, the brisket sandwich makes it worth the visit. Highly recommended!

Not sure if it's supposed to be Texas BBQ or something else. Tried to try everything unfortunately ran out of sausage/links.
Chickens were salty. Brisket was too dry and burnt despite requested for juicy parts in order. Ribs were dry and cold. Banana pudding was too sweet and loose. Beef chili was too sweet.
Service is very efficient with digital ordering with customer pickup. Least interaction with waiters. Yet food is expensive.
It's a clean place though with flat wide entry for accessibility. Parking might be challenging in downtown Oakland with paid street parking a paid parking lot next to it.
Not excited and sure if I go back.

I've braved the lines at Horn Barbecue not once, but twice—only to find the beef ribs sold out both times! If selling out is a sign of deliciousness, then these ribs must be legendary. Although I missed out on their the beef ribs, everything else I tasted was *chef's kiss*. Next time, I'm showing up at opening to sink my teeth into those elusive beef ribs. Trust me, if you haven't tried Horn Barbecue yet, you're missing out!
