A hidden jam in Costa Mesa that must be visited if you like Italian food. It may not look fancy, but it's all about the food and service. Let me start out by saying the service was excellent, staff went above and beyond. he started out with a Caesar salad that we shared. Just enough for all of us. I ordered the linguine and clam dish and it was very tasty. On Wednesday, they also have half bottle of wine which we enjoyed very much. We also ordered the chicken piccata, which was very good also. For dessert, we ended up with a chocolate dessert, which was very yummy. Overall, a very excellent experience. Highly recommend..

Once again, yelp doesn't let me down on selecting the restaurant specially that Im a person that I like to support small businesses the cuisine here it's incredible delicious. But OMG her and I couldn't be more than happy WITH OUR dishes that I had brought yes at the beginning it was a slow process, but once again, I have to understand that there was a party going on into another one and they were saving approximately a few plates. I was understanding, but I had an opportunity to get to know my date as well. It gave me an opportunity to understand the value and observe what is this business all about this lady from far distance that she was checking every single place that would come out where do you see that right? I start off with the server Javier incredible guy makes your experience of the Italian world come alive his charisma made it so fine at the same time gave you a certain advices there was a dish that was not in the menu. I had told him about it. The dish was called chicken Alfredo. He specifically said that it was in a secret menu, which made it more interesting and more curious right why would they have something in the secret menu so this is the kind of stuff that I love from pop and mom restaurants. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a unique Italian restaurant. Cheers and great appetite

Shout out to our server during my dinner. He was super friendly and hilarious, making dining a fun experience. You'll know who he is if hes served your table. On a whim felt like trying a new Italian restaurant and Al Forno was a perfect choice. It has the feel of a family run restaurant and all the workers are super friendly. The dimmer interior creates a nice atmosphere, especially with the backdrop of a beautiful OC sunset out the window. Its a great location. The free herb bread was delcious, especially when it came out freshly baked along with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I could have probably eaten about 3-4 baskets of that alone. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and my pizza was a perfect serving for one person.

The staff were attentive and came by often to check ion on our table. The ambiance is cozy and slightly dark that is perfect for an intimate dinner. Highly recommended!

A nice, little restaurant located in the corner of a quaint plaza. I ordered the Pasta Al Forno and Mixed Greens salad, and it did not disappoint! The Pasta Al Forno had bits and pieces of burnt cheese on the edges and that was my favorite part of the dish! My server was so fun to interact with; he had personality and a quirkiness that made this experience memorable. I'll be back again to try a different dish!
