Absolutely horrid company. Cancelled my rental that I booked a week in advance 15 MINUTES BEFORE I CAME TO PICK IT UP. NO EMAIL, 1 MISSED CALL, NO VOICEMAIL. I was stuck at this rental lot with no truck and my move now fucked. This place sucks. Stay away and spend money literally anywhere else.

I rented a car for 2 days, but as the final day unfolded, I realized that I couldn't get it back on time, so I called and was told that I had to get it back by the checkout time, no exceptions (other places in the past have been more flexible, but I get it). I returned it the next day, well ahead of the cut-off time. When I got the receipt, I found they marked me in as hours late, and I was charged an extra day. When I called, they refunded the day and claimed that they had already done so, and I should have gotten the receipt, but no such email was in my inbox. The whole thing felt a little shady, and if I wasn't on top of things, I could have gotten hosed. In addition, I was charged a late fee because I didn't request the extra day, but I was unaware of this, and they could have mentioned it when I said I likely wouldn't get it back on time. Other strange thing: they marked me as driving 400 miles. They don't charge per mile, so I didn't care, but it was impossible that it was more than 100 miles.

I just rented a car from Budget through Travelocity. I got a reasonable deal but I needed to rent for another 1/2 day. At the counter they said I had to pay nearly triple the amount. So I called the Budget 800 number and they gave me 45 dollars ofF if I prepaid. So prepaid. I ended my trip and returned my car early but since I prepaid I didn't receive anything back. I'll never rent from Budget Avis again or allow anyone in my company to use them as well.

We rented a truck to use today for our move, we booked it online yesterday and they said it was available and we made a reservation. Soon as we get there to pick it up at 10am they say it won't be ready until 12pm. We end up getting a call at 11am saying they won't have anything available until next week even though we had already made the reservation and was ready for pick up. Worst company ever. Don't rent here especially if you're moving. Customer service also provided no help and just recommended we get a u-haul.

If I could give zero stars. We are moving into a home. I reserved a truck rental at the beginning of the week. I was contacted by a rep named Joe from the Costa Mesa location on Thursday explaining that I would have to drive out to the Chino Hills location to get the vehicle they didn't have for my reservation day. He also stated I would get unlimited miles for my trouble of driving out so far to pick up the vehicle. Here we are in Chino hills on my reservation day to find out that they do not have the vehicle I reserved? Then the front desk rep tells me he can't help me and I have to call customer service to sort it out? My husband and I were so upset and left. We called customer service who stated they had no record of the rep from Costa Mesa speaking with us. Then on our way back home customer service calls to tell me that the vehicle was at the chino hills location this whole time! Absolute terrible service. Disservice to customers. I am extremely frustrated and sad that I had to experience this. Waste of energy and time. 2 hrs of driving to have no truck, wasted gas. Please take your business to people that care and will help.

Scum of the earth! Fuck this place. I would give zero stars if I could. My mother in law rented a car for four days for $170. She asked if we could keep an extra day and they said no problem. When she returned the car they charged her an additional $800 as a late fee, $800!! I called and they said there's nothing they can do. Don't rent here! Go anywhere else! Not surprised they only have 2.5 stars. Trash.

Budget Rental on Harbor Blvd. has excellent service. I have never had a problem renting a car. I rent every 3 months from them. They are professional, and work hard to make customers happy. Rose S.

I reserved almost two weeks in advance for this. Not only did they change the truck on me but also asked me to drive it back. I had originally booked it from 6 pm to 6 pm . They basically asked me to return it by 2. I refused to drop it by 2 because I had booked it until 6 and the lady was extremely impolite. Speak to Maral probably the worst representative you can talk to over the phone. They need to hire some professionals to convince a customer that they are changing the booking on them not people off their meds. Keep off this place and if possible please don't even get close to Maral because she is seriously off her rockers !!!

We rented a 12' moving truck on 4/17/23 to use on 7/7/23. We received an email the evening before we were to pick up the truck saying the truck was no longer available. When I called the Budget call center, a person named Charles told me they'd have one sent over from 22 miles away so it would be ready for us in the morning. When we got there, the girl at the counter said they hadn't received any trucks and the 4 sitting in the lot were "out of commission." We will never be using Budget/Avis again in the future for any reason! What a huge disappointment!

After renting a truck with a dead battery and receiving a super glued ignition key, I can honestly say that Budget/Avis will never receive my money again. I am very disappointed in their customer service and quality of the rentals they are giving. First and last time renting a truck with them.
