I would even come here if it was double the price, fish is very high quality, appetizers are BOMB and that's not even it, the MACULATE service is the cherry on top. I've been to all the AYCE sushis in OC and this is the best, by far! 100/10 recommend.

I went to an All You Can Eat sushi restaurant today (Monday) around noon by myself. The restaurant offered three pricing options -- I chose the Premium option for $39.99, not the regular lunch one. The sushi quality was excellent, especially the seared salmon sushi, which was perfectly done. The other sushi items were also fresh and tasty. However, the cooked dishes were just average, especially the pork ones, which I wouldn't order again. Overall, I think the $39.99 was well worth it for the sushi quality alone. The environment was bright, spacious, and clean. There were about four or five staff members working, and only three tables of customers including me -- pretty quiet for a Monday lunch. Normally, I'm a big eater at All You Can Eat places, and I usually tip around 80% because I know the servers have to bring me food multiple times. But today, when an elderly lady at another table asked about the menu, the waiter explained there were three price levels. She seemed to think I had ordered the $29 lunch instead of the Premium one and kept glancing my way. That made me a little uncomfortable. So, although the food was great, I ended up giving a smaller tip than usual, even though the service itself was fine. Overall rating: 4.5/5 Food: Cooked dishes: Service: Atmosphere: Value for money: Still, I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi -- the Premium option is absolutely worth it.

One of the best AYCE Sushi place in OC. Fresh fish, great friendly service. MUST TRY place!!! Picture will show how fresh everything was. Looks beautiful and taste wonderful too. Gave 4 stars because the collar fish dish was a bit over cooked.

We used to love this place à la carte but not so much with all you can eat- largely, because we aren't big eaters to make it worth the money but also the menus and system is way over complicated. Tables next to us were fully maximizing all rounds / capacity but we barely got through half of second round. My older daughter is only 8 but is very tall and they made her pay the full adult price for all you can eat ($30), and she can barely eat a quarter of the max allowance. Not sure we love it enough to be regulars (we used to come to this place at least monthly!). Service is friendly.

I think that the food is actually a 3/5 but the service makes this restaurant a 4/5. I honestly was kind of sad that this had to be the case but the quality of the fish was just not up to par, especially when there was so much hype on TikTok about this place and comparing it to the place that was here before chobop. The tuna was just alright but I liked the salmon a lot and the toro was good as well but that was about it. The guy that was serving us was very nice though and made adjustments to our order when he thought we ordered too much which ended up saving us in the end so shoutout to him!

Good appetizers- mediocre sushi. The service was super friendly and good on taking orders. The first round is limited to order which makes sense to scope out the serving size. We loved the mussels and agadashi tofu and was left on a great start. The sushi was just okay. I thought the presentation could be better, some pieces looked like scraps of fish. None the rolls or nigiri stood out to me. Fish to rice ratio was off as well. We ordered the baked salmon belly which is limited per order and I loved this dish! It was super fatty and flavorful. Overall, I wouldn't go out my way to come back, but it's a solid spot to go to if convenient.

BIG BIGGG fans of Chobop! Their sushi rolls are fantastic. The ratio of fish to rice is balanced so it doesn't make you feel like most AYCE sushi places where they're just trying to make you full. They focus on quality of the food. I think my favorite part of this place is that you're able to order half rolls because I'm a huge sampler when it comes to food so I can try a little bit of everything on the venue. Service is amazing. They're extremely quick on bringing out the rolls. It's a casual experience and extremely clean. There's plenty of parking out front as well. Absolutely LOVE this place.

Chobop in Costa Mesa on Harbor Blvd is what used to be Sushi Imari. Same owner, Same Chef, same team. Just a new name with the addition of the "All you can eat" option. Today a close friend of mine treated me to an "all you can eat" late lunch for my birthday. We were a party of 5 and I had a great time. The restaurant Space is the same as i remember it. It is large but yet cozy and everyone is so friendly. We were greeted as soon as we came in and we were seated promptly. We ordered 3 rounds of miscellaneous rolls and other miscellaneous items including a lot of sashimi, some crunch rolls, Spider rolls, Alaskan, chicken Karage, beef Teriyaki, Chicken Teriyaki and so much more. Everything was so delicious. I couldn't help but taste how fresh the fish tasted overall. The all you can eat option even came with Ice cream for dessert. Which i thought was amazing. They have 2 flavors. Vanilla and green tea. The green tea was so good that i had a second scoop. Others in my party doubled down on the Vanilla. Prices are also very reasonable. There are 3 tiers of all you can eat. The Classic tier: $29.95/person. Available only until 2pm. The Premium tier: $38.95/person. This tier offers access to additional items. And the 12 piece chef's choice sashimi + Premium: $55/person. Our waiter was really awesome. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I wanted to credit him by name but i unfortunately don't remember his name. All i remember is that his hair was dyed green and blue. If the restaurant reads this, please remind me of his name so that i can update this review. He made a great experience this much better. Overall, the service was excellent. I highly recommend Chobop.

We were able to make a reservation for 11 and they gave us a table and seated us right away. Foods is good for a ayce. It's $39 +tax + tip comes to be $53 if you don't include a drink. They have a great selection of sashimi and nigiri. Good service and great appetizers. They give you free ice cream. Only thing was, they said we only had 90 mins to eat which we only did. We sat there for 30 mins waiting for people to come.

First time coming here and I honestly had a pretty great experience! We came around 5pm on a Thursday and the tables were slowly starting to fill up. The one thing I wantt o highlight about their pricing is that the $29.95 Classic AYCE price is ONLY available during lunch time (i'm assuming on the weekdays). So we had to get the $38.95 Premium option, but i'm glad I got to try all the menu items for my first time there. Highlights of the meal were definetely the King Scallop Sushi, fried items like tempura and shrimp pops (their breading is really light and crispy!), salmon collar (very moist and buttery), and the uni sushi!
