I felt like a kid in a candy store here. They have all of the Mexican goods that your heart could desire. From freshly baked breads, to fresh cut meats, to freshly made tortillas and chicharron, to dinnerware and bushels of dried chilis. They even have musical acts performing and special events. Keep an eye out for samples being given out. We were able to try a mini birria taco with amazing flavors. My favorite part were the food stands where we were so tempted by each vendor but ultimately landed on a torta ahogada from Chiva Torta and a fresh paleta from La Nena. Both were soooo delicious and the carnitas in the torta just hit the spot. It was tempting to hit up the famous El Moro Churrería from CDMX but I'll have to save it for next time. I do have to note that it was very bustling and packed on the weekend so it might be overwhelming to do your standard grocery shop at that time.

the vibes are immaculate here. its so lively and i loved looking around. at every corner there was always something happening! this is one of the only spots in socal that im aware of that has inca kola. im very glad we went out of our way to get it here. the worker stationed at the self-checkout was very quick to assist us. would love to stop by again!

I've had this bookmarked for far too long and so happy I finally went. 1000% excited to come back again. Such a beautiful display of food and culture upon entry and as you walk around and shop and eat. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. I've heard folks say it's too expensive, but honestly it wasn't. It's definitely not your typical Northgate Gonzalez market. You're for sure here for the experience. So many choices to choose from! Tacos Los Guichos: pastor taco-delish, suadero taco-my fave, asada burrito-delish. The conchas from the pastry shop was great. Sushi El Sonaloense: grilled fish taco-good, grilled shrimp taco-wonderful!!! La Tamaleria: beef tamale-good, pork tamale- fantastic! Carnitas Don Miguel: carnitas-good, chicharones-good. I wanted to try so much more, but I'd have to run around the parking lot a few laps to work up more appetite, lol. Definitely coming back for ceviche, bionicos, churro, paletas and the chicken place! Oh, and the handmade corn and flour tortillas and fresh guacamole were phenomenal.

I can't believe I just found out about this spot now! I walked in with my mouth open because I was amazed! There is so many different shops, bakeries, and food. The variety is amazing. Fresh tamales, tortilla, ceviche?! Say less!! Their meats selection is nice too. They have a food court with a ton of different food from tamales, tacos, birria, and even sushi haha. Just walking around was so nice. They even have a bar a ton of tables to sit at indoors. They have a patio as well with tons more tables! I'll definitely be adding this spot to my grocery trips.

There are so many cute little food shops to choose from here at the Mercado! Wish they served chilaquiles all day though. I'll have to come in the morning to give it a shot. Bonus, you could also do your shopping after some delicious food. Fresh produce, carneceria, and other groceries to offer. I tried out the taco shop, and they had yummy tacos de al pastor, I ended up going back for seconds! Had a bite of the milanesa torta, and I would definitely get it next time! The ice cream, is just ice cream, nothing spectacular. The churros are so warm and soft, get the cajeta to accompany it with. Agua frescas are just so refreshing, especially the pumpkin agua fresca! Don't be shy to ask for samples! ^*^ A lot of cleaning crew around the lunch area, always keeping the tables clean for a new round of guests. Thanks, Mercado Gonzalez!

Ugh, I was so excited for Mercado Gonzalez but it was such a let down. I'm not sure exactly who this grocery store / food hall is for but the food was so expensive and not really that good. The bread, in particular, was just kind of...soulless? Like nothing about it gave off authentic panadería vibes, it tasted very mass produced. I will say that the store is very well stocked and organized. In addition to all you regular groceries you can also get lots of Mexican treats and goodies here which is nice. I'm not sure I'll be back anytime soon. The highlight for me was El Moro Churrería which I'll review separately.

Had to add another review for Mercado Gonzalez! Great place to visit anytime to eat! We enjoyed ceviche, beef birria, tamales, and churros! Service at all locations was great ! Perfect place to prep the Day of the Dead celebrations. Amazing vibe throughout the store - great Dia de los Muertos decorations! Check it out before the season ends!

Came here Sunday afternoon to grab some drinks and food with friends! It was my first time coming here and it's not a regular North Gate there's live music and multiple food stalls ! We got our food pretty quickly. They have outside seating as well with some TVs playing football games. There is so much going on here I felt a little overwhelmed ! But it's really fun. Our torta bread was really hard though and the food was just okay. Our drinks were really good though. Parking was horrifying though we had to park all the way by the Home Depot

Fresh, flavorful food everywhere you look. The agua frescas are super refreshing, and the desserts are seriously impressive. The food court area even has a bar, which gives the whole place a fun, relaxed vibe. Service is on point--friendly, fast, and attentive. Definitely worth a visit.

I love this Mercado. Super market and giant food court in one. Each stall specializes in something like churros, tamales, frescas, ice cream, tacos, birria, etc. there's even a bar to hang out. You can watch them make fresh tortillas. We took two laps around to get a feel for what we wanted and ordered from a few vendors. Pork tamales Chicken flautas plate Tacos - adobada, lengua, suadero Ceviche Chicken flautas were the worse out of all. It was pre fried and kept on the table under a heat lamp. I should have listened to my gut to not get it. But I'm a sucker for flautas. It was dried out and the tortilla tasted like rolled tacos. It wasn't deep fried at all. It was a combo and came with a side of rice and beans. The flautas had toppings like guacamole, lettuce and tomatoes. There's a big dining area by the bar. Some days there are live music. Great food and layout.
