First time for brunch n YES!!! We sat in the patio nxt to the fire n we got the steak n eggs, braised bacon Benedict, charcuterie n bottomless mimosas The food ws bamb n the bottomless stayed up the entire time! Dylan ws seriously awesome n he ws not only attentive n kind but he ws fun! Oh n the bLOODY MARY came with bacon all typsa olives like blue cheeze olives n pepper olives n jalapeños SO GOOD Love to find a spot that has good food n dranks n ppl like Dylan who rly make sure we taken care of Thank you for a great brunch - def 5 starz from me!

It's all about the FOOD & MUSIC.... 2nd time here.. The first was good. 2nd time even better! Listen to the staff and order their favorites! Thank you Damon:) The happy hour Birria tacos were melt in your mouth delicious ask for a side of chipotle aioli.( Damon's addition) They fry the cheese to the tortilla and it gives such a lovely crunch. I had the beet and buratta salad as well also amazing. TRY IT!

The Country Club restaurant is located on 17th Street in Costa Mesa, just a few blocks east of the 55 freeway. The front of the restaurant is right up against the sidewalk. If you are coming from the 55 freeway, drive just past the restaurant and pull into the drive way. There are only a few parking spaces on the side of the restaurant, but drive straight a short way through the back alley and there is a large parking lot right behind the restaurant. You can make a reservation on Yelp. The inside of the restaurant has a nice and classy feel. There is a lot of lighting but it is subdued. The raised ceiling in the main dining area gives it a spacious feel. The booths are big and comfortable and there are also quite a few high top tables spread around. The long bar also shares a good portion of the main dining area and it has a lot of seating. There is also an enclosed patio area in the front that has tables and some couch seating. They have a good selection of cocktails, wine (by the glass and a large bottle list), beer, and spirits. I came with a friend and we knew we would be having steak so we ordered a bottle of the Tamari "Reserva" malbec. For only $37, this was an awesome bottle of wine. Unfortunately, none of the big liquor stores carry it or I would go buy some. The food menu is a single page, but it has a good variety of appetizers, salads, entrees and sides. We started out with the Hamachi Carpaccio. The fish melted in your mouth like butter, and the sauce was nice and bright. It was a great, light appetizer. Not many restaurants have hanger steak, so I ordered the Imperial Farm Wagyu hanger steak. It was cooked a perfect medium rare and it was nice that they pre-sliced it. It was tender and absolutely heavenly. The meat was great on its own, but I also did some dipping in the garlic butter and demi-glace. My friend ordered the New Zealand Angus filet rare, and it also came with a red wine rosemary butter. We ordered a side of the wild mushrooms which were good. It was a generous portion and the lemon garlic aioli was a nice change from most places that just sautee in butter and serve. For dessert, we ordered the made-to-order churros. They took about 15 minutes to arrive and were very fresh and pillowy. They came with whipped cream and a good caramel sauce. Our server Lauren was great and checked on us just the right amount. The owner also stopped our the table to make sure everything was good. We got a chuckle out of the bill which arrives in a little book stamped with "The Damage". The food and drink at The Country Club is excellent and very reasonably priced. Definitely add it to your list of places to try if you have not visited here before.

Came here for a somewhat late dinner, and was pleasantly surprised that after the our dinner around 10ish we started seeing lots of movement, the restaurant staff cleared out the stools and a dj was ready to entertain. We ordered a few dishes to have variety of food, started with the Himachi, which came with 4 pieces of fish and cucumber, light portion missing a bit more flavor. The cacio pepe pasta was al dente but was missing the butter and silky sauce that makes this dish amazing. The sides, puree was bland, the cauliflower was amazingly good, had a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, a must have dish. Lastly, the new Zealand filet was super tender and juicy. Parking is available behind the building with valet available.

We visited last night for our OC Happy Hour MeetUp, and as always, The Country Club did not disappoint. I've attended this event here several times, and this location continues to be my favorite. There's plenty of space to accommodate a large group, which makes it ideal for gatherings. I also had dinner and ordered the Brussels sprouts and charred octopus and both were delicious and perfectly portioned. I enjoyed a few Old Fashioneds, and although I didn't catch the bartender's name, she was great and super accommodating when I asked for them smoked. I love the vibe and the food here. Thank you, The Country Club, for always being so welcoming to our MeetUp group. I highly recommend checking this place out and it's a great place to hang out with friends or even for a date night. Omg could the DJ be any worse on a Saturday night? We went strictly to DANCE to celebrate one of my friends bachlorettes on Saturday, September 29, 2025 we stayed until about 1am. The music was not bad HOWEVER the DJ did not play one song in his set for longer than 45 seconds/1 minute 20 seconds....it was absolutely nauseating. Everyone on the dance floor was complaining the entire time, leaving the dance floor and coming back...not that the DJ cared or noticed, his equipment was facing the back wall and he had his right shoulder/back to the dance floor the entire time a bunch of us were watching and he didn't turn to look at the crowd on the dance floor even once the entire time we were out there. He played so many amazing songs and songs that clearly everyone was STOKED came on and he'd change the song in 30 seconds...I know exactly because we actually started timing him on our phone to see his average time spent on one song and we screen shotted it (to be added to this review later along with photos of the dj as well)

The Country Club is one of my favorite places in the area to hang out. They have great drinks and food. The staff is super nice and really attentive. Supposedly they make the best espresso martini in Orange County if you like espresso martinis. The last time I came here was with one other person for a drink and some food. We came on a Saturday mid day and there were two parties celebrating birthdays in their outside patio area. It was busy but not super busy. We decided to sit at the bar. The drinks are strong and delicious. We shared some truffle fries and a beet salad. Everything was made good and flavorful. It also came out quick. The inside of this place has a chill vibe. It's great for large groups or small parties. We usually come to hang out but I would recommend it for a full dinner. Overall would continue to come back.

We've eaten here before and had a great experience with delicious food, and had the opposite experience tonight. We ordered everything at once because the spot was really busy at 5pm and I regretted it. If I had only ordered one dish I would have stopped there. We got the oysters ($26 for half dozen) and they were inedible - mushy and sour. We got the ribeye, it was oddly firm and tasted frozen. The worst thing was the brussel sprouts - we've ordered them before and they were so good, but this time they had a bizarre pungent rotten flavor I can't even describe. The only good thing was the bread. I have no idea what could have happened but all of the food was unbelievably bad.
