I was craving a banh mi after a welcoming day in De Anza College and this place popped up! What caught my eye to order was the pork belly and pate. It took a while for the banh mi since it was during the lunch rush hour so I didn't mind waiting. The size of the sandwich is good!! Not too big, not too small. Just the right amount. Pork belly was definitely fatty (I liked it) so it was a bit harder for me to finish, but delicious! Looked like they also offer rice dishes so I definitely need to come back and get those too. Love how this location is so close to the college, I'll definitely be back!

Would give this closer to a 3.5! Overall a good banh mi sandwich and would come here again. I will say, service was a bit slower given what I'm used to for a banh mi (there was only one person though but ykwim). I got the pork belly banh mi. I think it was pretty tasting and filling with lots of goodies. The pork belly might be lacking in some flavor. The bread was warm and crisp when I had it fresh (always do a taste test before I drive home.) about 15 min later, I will say the center of the banh mi was slightly soggy? Not an issue though, still enjoyed my sandwich. There is limited seating inside and outside if you need!

Final Thoughts: 3.41/5 Simple food run with my friends and we were told that this place has good or underrated Vietnamese breads, so we came to try it. This is another item that I'm pretty picky with because it's so hard to compare to the authentic item in Vietnam. Đức Hương (specifically on Story Road) does it the best for me, but even then, they can't compare to that $1 bread I get in Vietnam. Overall, everything was just alright for me here. Food: Spring Roll: 3.2/5 With all of that said above though, I did not get the bánh mì. Instead, I ended up getting the spring roll. It comes will three rolls. Very interesting because every other store that I've gotten this item from has only provided two rolls. They're quite hefty rolls, which is a good and a bad thing. Starting with the cons - the ratios. It's always the ratios with these rolls that gets me. For the most part, the inside is vermicelli and vegetables and then the remainder 10-15% is protein. If you look at the cross section, you'll know what I mean. The ratio here is honestly even less appealing. What makes this is the sauce. The ratio of hoisin sauce to peanut butter is quite good. The sauce isn't too thin and has some thickness to it, which I like. Other than that, it's very standard. Meat is cooked and sliced thinly inside and then 1.5 pieces of shrimp, as per usual. Bánh Mì - Grilled Pork with Paté: 3.9/5 Had to try my friends for Yelp review purposes. It's aight. The bread just doesn't have that crispy brittle shell and soft interior. The smell of the bread is also non-existent. For the filling, it was pretty good. The meat is nicely seasoned and somewhat tender. Good balance of flavors overall. Can't really go wrong with that the pickled vegetables, cilantro, and chili. Their pickled vegetables were nice a crispy and has that bite to it. Good balance of sweet, salty, and acidic. The pate wasn't my favorite. The flavor is different and needed a little something more for me. Looking at the ratios and amount of filling, it's quite filled. Doesn't look like they skimped on it because they pressed the soft interior of the bread down and then put all of the filling in. Very typical. --------- Quality: Could be better Hmm for the bread, it was pretty good, but for the spring roll, some of the vegetables inside did not look fresh. You can see some oxidation and wilting of the lettuce and bean sprouts in the cross-section picture that I have. Perhaps this item is not commonly ordered, so purchasing of items might not be as prioritized as the Vietnamese breads. Price: Leans more on the expensive side For the smaller sized bread, it was around $9. For comparison sake and to put this into perspective, the large bread at Đức Hương is about $8, while their smaller breads are about $4. Perhaps it's because this place is located in Cupertino, but there is a location in Campbell, as well, and I'm imagining the prices to be the same. For the spring rolls, each one calculates out to be about $3.67, which isn't bad. Other places will sell two for $8, leaving the average at around $4 per roll. Given the ingredients and what this item is makes it expensive in general, but overall, that is the average price for this menu item. Another note is the upcharge for the bread add-on items that they have. More expensive than I've seen. Double meats are an additional $5. Extra vegetables will be an additional $1 to $1.50. If I'm thinking about the item itself and comparing it to the price, $10 to $14 for this bread item is quite expensive. Hopefully they don't skimp if they're really charging this much extra for it. Just an option and consideration for you. Service: Grab and Go You have the option to sit down and eat, which is what we did, but it seems to be more of a grab and go kind of place. I see more reviews being of the bread, so I'm assuming people get that item more often. This item is easier to carry out. We just make our purchases at the counter and then go pick it up once it's ready. Very limited interactions overall. Ambiance: Simple Very simple interior. They have their cashier counter on one side and then the remainder of the restaurant is the tables. Something about the tables and chairs though. Those chairs are not the most comfortable. It's very hard and not cushioned at all. We really didn't sit long, but I probably would not recommend sitting on that surface for that long of a period. Other than that, the interior is very simple. Location/Parking: Seems appropriate for the area This place is located on Imperial Avenue and Stevens Creek Blvd. Faces the road, so people can see it pretty well and it's easy to spot. They have a small parking lot in the back of the building and then you would have to walk around to get to the front entrance. The parking lot really isn't big or anything, but I don't see a lot of other big shops or restaurants here that will occupy the space, so it shouldn't be too big of an issue.

No one there at 11 am so don't know how it is when they have people there but generally service was fastish? Took about 10 minutes once I ordered until the bun mi came out but there was only one person working. Ordered the #1 and #4 bun mi there and the thing I noticed is how big they are but most of that was the baguette. The ratio of filling to bread was off and I would have preferred a smaller baguette that has better crunch and density instead of being big and airy. As for the flavor, it was generally okay. Nothing memorable about the bun mi but for the price, I guess that's not a bad thing? The other thing I'll note is that the #4 showed it was spicy on the menu but it felt blander than the #1.

Finally got to try this place conveniently located across from the Cupertino post office. This location was previously a Subway, so a sandwich shop replacing it makes sense! I'm giving it a solid 4.5 stars (not possible to reflect in the star rating itself that only allows full stars). The sandwiches were delish and indeed yummy! Glad they lived up to their name! Warm, crispy, fresh bread and a good amount of filling. Lots of fresh veggies (but beware if you have that cilantro-tastes-like-soap gene!). Prices were fair at $9.95 each. We ordered two grilled chicken sandwiches and a pork belly with pate sandwich. Both flavors were tasty, and we'd order them again! Subtracting half a star because the ambiance was just okay - there was a strong smell of cleaning fluid (which I guess is a good thing), so we wouldn't have wanted to eat there (we got ours to go). The service was also just average, not super friendly despite giving them a tip on a to-go order. Despite those small issues, we do plan to return and we hope others give them a try too, as it's nice to have a sandwich shop in the area!

I was already a big fan of their location in Campbell, so I was ecstatic to find out they opened a location in Cupertino! I'm truly never disappointed when I come. I get the same order every time - a #1 with extra meat (and sometimes extra pate). Trust me, this is the way to go! If you're ordering takeout, I would definitely ask for veggies on the side. LOVE the cold cuts in the sandwich and the bread is made to perfection each time. I love the banh mi here! I tried their beef stew for the first time as well and it really hit the spot with the colder weather here now. Such a comforting meal! I couldn't stop dipping my bread - basically inhaled the entire thing. On top of the tasty food, service is wonderful and the restaurant itself is very clean. Can't wait to come back soon! If I lived or worked closer, you already KNOW I would be here every week haha.

First time here; close to De Anza College for anyone look for Yummee (literally) Vietnamese sandwiches nearby. I ordered the grilled chicken banh mi and it was very flavorful, decent portion and fair priced compared to many places I've been to. Highly recommend!

Ordered Bbq pork +pate+ extra cucumber, cilantro, peppers. Excellent hot sandwich. Bread was fresh, good portion. Combo of sandwich +soda+chips = $12.50 Got a fountain soda and it tasted odd/off (chlorinated). They need to filter the water going into their soda machine!!

I am SO glad that there is finally a Vietnamese sandwich spot near me! For years I've had to go to San Jose to get a decent one, but now I have a place less than five minutes from my home! Awesome! As for the sandwich, I got the #1;with extra meat and extra pate. The roll is incredible with a nice crunchy crust and soft crumb. It holds the sandwich together nicely. The meats are fresh and I love the crunch of the pork roll. The veggies are plentiful with lots cilantro. But the kicker for me is the fresh jalapeno. It provides a nice spicy touch without being overpowering. And their sweet sauce is amazing! Highly recommend!

I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp spring rolls and cold noodle bowls. I tried the tofu & mushroom banh mi & will pass on that next time. I was not a fan of the bbq pork. I suspect veggie choices or eggs may be the way to go. Easy to order online, easy to pick up, easy peasy meal. It's extremely reasonably priced and the portion sizes fed 3 of us with leftovers. Will definitely make it a go to meal. Not sure I'd want to dine in tho. It seems fairly gloomy and dark in there.
