From aug '24 to may '25, I was basically visiting with my sister and her partner once a week for dinner. We were always seated pretty quickly and you get straight to picking what you want. My favorites are the mochi nugget, coriander noodles(seen in my pic), and the snow pea leaves. It was a reasonable price per pound, I think 13.99. But having warm soup on cold nights is the perfect way to stay warm and handle darker nights. Love the amount of seating and the always kind workers! The food is out pretty quickly and you can't go wrong getting their normal creamy beef broth. Be wary because it does have dairy . It's got a good vibe and there are seats for solo diners as well. It's also a plus that this location is next to Izumi matcha and Beard Papa for dessert.

came around 7pm on a Tuesday. there was a bit of a line -- a tablet outside to put your name down but you have to wait there for when they call your name (we saw some people get skipped over because they weren't there). there were 7 parties ahead of us = 15-20 minute wait. honestly, their selection in add-ons was a bit limited compared to other malatang restaurants but they had everything that i liked, so i was happy with that haha. unfortunately, their sauce station fell quite short. they really only have: soy sauce, black vinegar, peanut sauce, chili oil, green onions, and garlic. most other places also have sesame oil and/or shacha as their bare minimum (which is part of my usual goto). the servers were great! very polite and eager to make sure that everything was going well. honestly, one of the better service experiences i've had at a malatang spot.

Arrived around 12:30pm on a Wednesday and it was busy but no wait to be seated. You pick your veggies, and meats and then at the counter, you'll pick the soup base. Sweetness & Sour Tomato Broth is vegan. I was expecting a tom yum flavor but it was very much a sweet tomato broth. Overall the makeup of the bowl is up to what you pick. The broth didn't really have much depth to flavor which was disappointing. Mellow Spicy Mixing is a "dry" variant. It contains peanuts and dairy. My partner really enjoyed it. We each somehow ended up with over 1 lb each in our bowl! We had so much leftover to bring home! It ended up being $72 after tip/tax for two people. Kind of pricey in my opinion for what we got.

Parking can get crowded but honestly I never struggle finding a spot. There are really good food options in this plaza but YGF is my favorite. The restaurant usually seats me and my boyfriend pretty quick! But during weekend nights, though, you would need to join waitlist! Seats are really close together and honestly I recommend coming in groups of 2-4 at most!! I personally never cared about how close I was to someone because food is too good lol. But I know some can get warm/overstimulated when it's crowded on a hot day. So when you walk in you collect ur bowl first, then grab ur topping options. Start with small amounts because the meat is at the end! I usually get lotus root, green veggies, ramen noodle, and meat toppings. At the end of line, you tell your broth option to cashier and they'll tell you where to sit. I like spicy so I always get medium spicy beef bone broth. The classic beef bone broth is also a yummy option. I love YGF!!!

This is in a really big plaza with lots of other restaurants, etc. Easy to find parking. Came on a weekday for dinner and there a bit of a wait. The flavor is good. They only have mild and medium spice for their beef bone broth. They have solid variety of meat, veggie, noodles, and fish cake. I always enjoy my meal when I go to ygf. Super flavor and has a nice kick! They also had a sauce bar.

probably my preferred dinner option in this plaza! i always get the signature spicy beef broth, which is very mala and spicy. it's a very standard build-your-own malatang, but i like the options here and how it comes out perfectly cooked every time. it's a good price and would definitely recommend to other malatang lovers. the inside of the restaurant can get a little packed on busy days but it's a bustling cozy atmosphere! service is fine, efficient. will def keep coming back!

Cute little restaurant! Went here for a Saturday lunch with my friend. Such a fun way to build your soup, and everything was sooo yummy and fresh. The beef broth (medium) was also very delicious and spicy. The service there was also very good. The employees are very polite, and they set the table for you as you weigh your food. Will definitely come back again!

I absolutely love YGF Malatang, but my review is specifically for the Cupertino location. I normally go to the Milpitas location since it's closer to my place, but stopped by this one since I was in the area. Although there was a huge lunch rush when we got there, it didn't take too long for us to get seated. The main differences between this location and the Milpitas is how the ingredients are organized and the availability of some of the ingredients. Unlike the Milpitas location, the vegetables are at the very end of the ingredients bar, while everything else is in the front. I prefer veggies at the very beginning, so that I can load up on those first and then add noodles, fish/meat balls, etc. afterwards; I could see the way its organized being a potential issue if you were eating vegetarian because the tongs could've touched meat early on and it's now touching the vegetables. I also noticed that the Milpitas location had more ingredients (or maybe more of the things that I liked) - I miss the thicker egg noodles that they have. Other than those few issues, food was still really good. I did the medium spicy beef bone broth and it was packed with flavor and perfect amount of spice. Staff members were very nice and efficient as well, we were in and out very quickly after we finished up with lunch. Overall, not a bad location, I just personally enjoy the other one more.

Get here early if you want to grab a seat to in inside. Definitely don't load up in tofu options and mushrooms unless that's your jam, the meat is at the very end! I made the mistake of adding too much to my bowl early on and then making it weigh a lot when I added the meat at the end. The food was great and we'll be back again!!

YGF is always busy, but service is fast and efficient. We went around 7:30 PM on a weekday, and the timing worked out well since it got noticeably more packed after. There's a wide variety of meat and veggie options to choose from! My favorites are the wide potato noodles (must have!!), mochi fish cake, seaweed knots, and pork blood rice cake. We went with the dry spicy mix, which alwayss hit the spot. Out of all the YGF locations I've tried (mostly in socal), this Cupertino spot stands out as one of the best. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving hot pot with lots of options and quick service.
