The Queen Mary is such a lovely place. My 13 year old son is fascinated with ships and the Queen Mary is one of his favorites. We traveled from Cleveland, OH to see it and loved spending a few days here. The rooms are comfortable and have kept a lot of its originality. We loved going for walks around the halls and finding different spots with educational information on the ship. The tours are also great. You have free access to the propeller room and the engine room. There was also a big section dedicated to the war. The food was excellent and if you can do the Sunday brunch, 100% worth it. They went out of their way to give my son a slice of cake for his birthday. The city of Long Beach is also an awesome city! Such a great experience. Will definitely return someday!

Our stay at The Queen Mary was wonderful. It is an interesting piece of history. Not only was she a luxury cruise liner but she also served in the war. The people that work there are all super friendly and pleasant. Please don't go expecting for this to be a luxury hotel. It is well kept but with some original features. When you stay be sure to check out the room that shows a loop video of the history aspect of the ship. There is a nice affordable coffee shop that sell sandwiches, pastries, and goodies. We didn't try the restaurant as we found it to be out of our budget. The only downside is if you don't have a vehicle, it's harder to get around. There is always ride share and such. If you are fit it is easy to walk across the bridge to the area that has shops and restaurants. All in all we would stay here again if we were cruising out of Long Beach.

The ship is iconic, beautiful and fun to explore. It feels like staying at a museum. The rooms are cozy and themed but some of the amenities could be refreshed. There is also no house keeping for less than 4 days which is a big miss for a hotel.

This was a haunted fun place to stay. We didn't see any ghosts but we had a lot of fun searching. The room was cool-bed was a little outdated but I still slept fine. We had a cool view of the ocean and spent most of the night looking for spirits.

We only spent a single night but this is what we observed during our stay——The front desk was very kind, welcoming, courteous and knowledgeable about the ship which helped us tremendously because of the sheer size and many hallways that look identical to each other so it’s pretty easy to get lost.

We stayed in room B508 which is a handicap friendly room. Unfortunately cell phone service wasn’t the best. We were not able to make calls on our phones while in our room.

The room itself contained a sitting table with 2 chairs, 2 end tables, a wall mounted TV, a king size bed and a small refrigerator (this was requested for medical purposes which was delivered and setup for us by hotel employee Jeff—Thank you Jeff you were our rockstar during our stay) The bathroom was very spacious with an open shower area that had a fold up chair. The lotion bottle was completely empty however shampoo conditioner and body wash were readily available.

The room was pretty cold so we tried to turn the heat on but unfortunately that resulted in a musty smell filling the room so consequently we had to turn it back off and bundle up.

We had lunch in the cafe which cost us more than $50 (not counting tip and tax) for a quesadilla ($19) which was a good size and a grilled chicken sandwich with freshly made spiral cut fries ($19) with 2 drinks (sodas were $5 but they offered unlimited refills!) The food tasted amazing and our service was outstanding.

While my travel buddy rested up in the room I went out and explored the ship which was AWESOME!

There were lots of historical exhibits all over the ship and lots of spaces to explore!
Knowing the general history of the ship made exploring this massive ship even more exciting :-)

Overall our stay was pleasant enticing and memorable so if you’re a history buff with a flair for paranormal legends this is absolutely the place for you!!
