This is a great place for your craving of Hawaiian food. The owner was very helpful and courteous. The food was much better than all the places I had l tried when I was in Hawaii. The garlic shrimps here are 1000000 times better than all the hyped places in the North Shore area. The beef plate is out of this world too. I don't think you can go wrong with any dish here. Go give BROKEN MOUTH a try, you won't be disappointed.  Highly highly recommend BROKEN MOUTH to everyone.

Order ahead or wait almost 1.5 hours. Food is OK, definitely not worth the almost 1.5 hour wait. Chicken Teriyaki, and garlic shrimp were basic. Beef Teriyaki was not my favorite. Not worth going back.

Amazing meat jun.  Even better than what I’ve had in Hawaii.  The meat Jun just about melted in my mouth. Incredibly tender!! Having being raised and lived in Hawaii for about 20 or so years that says a lot.  Now living in Palm Springs I was craving meat jun and googled it since I was coming to LA for the weekend and found this place.   It just so happened to be voted by Yelp as best restaurant one year so decided this was the spot to fill my craving.   Owner was genuinely grateful for my visit and displayed his authentic Aloha spirit of the islands!!   It’s not in the nicest little food court but easy to overlook that after your first bite!  Can’t wait to visit again!!

Heard about them from my aunt and she keep on saying we should try them out and finally I can now understand her. The quality, and portions are worth every penny!! Wait time is about 25minutes and the place gets crowded at times. Give them a try too!

I’m glad I ordered in advance because even without a long line, they were making food non-stop! The food was amazing—it really felt like home. The service was incredibly kind and made my day.

I’d recommend this spot to anyone visiting LA. It might not be the first place that pops up when searching for iconic LA restaurants, but it absolutely should be.
