Free parking with only a short 0.7mile walk to the Observatory. Cost of a planetarium ticket was $9 which was reasonable. Fairly busy but that is to be expected with close views of the Hollywood sign. Access to the Observatory itself was free and had a good hour or so worth of things to see.

Beautiful hiking area. There is so much to explore, and many trails. Most popular is the hike to the observatory. It's a beginner to intermediate type of hike. For a shorter easier hike that is still a good work out you'll want to try the ferndell loop trail. Really huge park.

Enjoy this hike every time I’m out there, going from observatory to the Hollywood sign, great view of the LA skyline. Hydration is a must even when it’s overcast. From Greek Theater to Observatory and Hollywood sign 5 miles in 5 miles out.

Absolute gorgeous morning. Arrive before 10 as that’s when parking costs $10 AN HOUR so get up and head to trails early. The views are stunning and pets are welcome. Will look forward to coming back.

The shows at the planetarium are wonderful. And the views of LA, the sunset and night views of LA exquisite

Sadly there’s too much light pollution to see much of the night sky
