Pretty nice stay here. Stayed for 2 nights, and the location can’t be beat! The bathroom was large and well-equipped and the bed was comfortable. I liked that the shower had multiple options (waterfall shower head, handheld shower head, and tub faucet). The waterfall shower head was great! While the location itself is loud, which is unavoidable in this location, the hotel is quiet inside.
If you’re traveling with >2 people, and/or have a lot of luggage, you may not be comfortable in a standard room as it is pretty small. I didn’t mind that, personally.
Some things could have used improvement - fixtures in the bathroom were falling off the wall, and there was only 1 towel hook.
The destination fee also did not seem entirely worth it, and I wish there were more perks that came with it. I would pass up coffee and gym/pool access if it meant putting the destination fee towards the cost of the valet, somehow. Parking options are extremely limited and the valet is expensive.
I would come back to this hotel for a one-night stay, especially if I did not have a car to park.

My husband and I had an amazing experience at this property and we will definitely stay here again if we come visit LA again in the future. The team on site are very friendly and any requests you have are immediately attended to with a big smile on their faces. The breakfast at Cafe Fig was amazing. We loved the aesthetics and design of the lobby and our rooms. We stayed in the King Bed Suite to get the extra living room area, and it was totally worth to add the extra $ for the upgrade. The location is great too - walking distance to many restaurants, stores and shopping centres. We were a bit worried about the homeless situation in downtown but it’s really not that bad around the hotel at all.

My friend and I stayed here back in June and it was OK. Artsy, some nice artwork and design features throughout. Cafe Fig was nice. The pool was decent - get there early for chairs, always full. The rooms were clean, definitely could use some renovations but charming nonetheless.

Unfortunately we were there during an employee strike which could be heard from 7am onward throughout the day, even with windows closed.

Also, the direct area isn’t exactly safe. I wouldn’t walk around… we took Ubers to every destination.

I recently stayed at Figueroa Hotel located in downtown LA. The location is undeniably convenient, making it easy to explore the city. The building itself is nice, and the room I stayed in was spacious.

However, my experience was impacted by a significant issue: the in-room A/C was broken, and they had placed a portable A/C unit inside. This really ruined the ambience of the room. The exhaust was vented through the window using a large steel plate that covered half of the view, which felt clunky and out of place. It would have been appreciated if the hotel had informed us about this beforehand, and a discount should have been considered given the circumstances.

On the positive side, it’s great that the hotel is pet-friendly, though the pet fee is $50 per night.

The restaurant experience was also mixed. The Mediterranean Greek food was delicious, and the cocktails were well-prepared. However, the service left a lot to be desired. We waited for 30 minutes with just water and menus, and I had to approach a waitress myself to place our order, which was disappointing.

Overall, it was an average experience. The potential for a great stay was there, but for the price, it didn’t feel like good value. With some improvements in communication and service, this hotel could offer a much better experience.

Was very disappointed with this hotel. We were so excited to arrive. Unfortunately, we were met with two very rude staff members at the front upon check-in. Nothing happened to warrant this behavior except a misunderstanding about checking in. Anyway, we also overheard them being rude to another guest at the same time (Something to do with their room being small. The other guest had concerns and the staff responded with, “I told you the other room would be smaller.”) Overall, just made us feel very uncomfortable. The rooms are small with not a lot of space to set your items. Additionally, the cleanliness could be better. It was just not worth the price given that the staff is extremely rude and there are no actual useful amenities. Another thing is that the shower head is awful. It does not allow you to adjust it and it is very close to the shower wall. Very sad and disappointed, as we paid a lot of money to stay here for more than a few days.
