I recently stayed here for business travel.

I was upgraded to a corner suite. It was lovely! For being in a busy area it was relatively quiet. The daily housekeeping was impeccable! Only suggestion I would have is bringing waters daily with housekeeping services. I drank the Saratoga waters in the room.

The complimentary coffee & pastry for my elite status breakfast at the Cafe was delicious!

I also used the 35$ F&B credit at the other 2 restaurants. Very delicious food & friendly staff.

One con was that the TV does not allow streaming. Most Marriott’s allow you to stream Netflix on your own account

Great hotel, comfy beds, awesome water pressure. Room service comes as a take away which isn't so nice since they charge a service fee. A bit of hotel decorum would have been nice (no need for a trolley and cloche but a simple presentation would be a nice touch).

Too bad LA is a shitsty, but at least you can sleep decently for a fair price!

Wow! I frequently stay in hotels, but this one is very memorable! I would highly recommend. It is gorgeous.

Check in and check out were easy. I didn’t use the valet & used a nearby garage for much cheaper. They watched my bags near valet while I got my car which helped me out.

The restaurant is amazing and is so beautiful. The menu was great and the food was good. I ate breakfast & dinner there and was very pleased.

I got an upgraded room with a tub and it was so amazing. I took the most relaxing bath after a long travel day. The rooms are spotless and updated but very cozy and homey, timeless in design with a lot of high end touches. There is a fridge but it was stocked with things for purchase already & just a little room for my food.

I checked out the rooftop pool area before leaving and it was awesome. I would’ve loved to spend more time up there before I had to leave. The pool looked clean too.

As soon as you get in, you’re welcomed and the host Faheema went above and beyond. Since we were new, she gave us a card with recommendations for things to try and do for our age group. The staff went over and beyond to make my luggage secure. The valet is top notch and worth every dollar with how much we went in and out. The rooms are good. Tub was phenomenal and shower had great pressure. People need to spend more time on the rooftop. It’s incredible. We went our last night and should have spent WAY more time. It’s beautiful up there!

Intro: this hotel can be great but it miss the mark in a few areas

Pros:
-the valet is very nice and always smiling
-the building is nice on the inside, clean, and great lighting.
-the suites are nice and the shower is excellent.
-the location is downtown

Cons:
-the first night they put me in a room that was to have a city view but the windows were boarded. When I explained it to them they gave me some weird explanation of why I was given that room. I was not happy.
-everything cost, cost, and cost. They charge for everything, even for ambassador elite.
-the front desk staff also doesn’t listen well when you ask questions, which causes me to repeat or have to request towels or additional items. For a hotel that charge for everything, I would have expected better service.
-valet shouldn’t be no $60 a night and the destination fee of $35 isn’t going to go far at all.

Overall:
3.5 stars. For the price, this hotel needs to upgrade the service and figure out why everything is overpriced and over charged. I have stayed at the JW and W and never seen charges like this
