They  never called me back regarding my late cancelation, and refund.  The tea, before I booked i called and stated I'm coming in at 2am asked if late check in was available.  They said yes, I booked, arrived got denied access to my room. When I called to ask what's going on, they said they do not do late night arrivals and I should have came the day before. It was St. Paddy's weekend. So everything was sold out. I asked for help to find another hotel or guidance, and they said no. Iasked for a refund or partial refund. I have never got a call back since.  Let's do better next time shall we?

I booked through Hotels.com. The day of my booking, check in was scheduled for 4pm. I received a call just before then saying my check-in would be delayed due to a maintenance issue with my room. By 6pm, they canceled my reservation and said they didn’t have another room for me. I couldn’t get an immediate refund from the Kodo, or from Hotels.com, so I was left to find another hotel that night with no assistance. The maintenance issue was that the hotel’s hot water wasn’t working in the room I booked. I was visiting from out of town. This was the greatest inconvenience without any assistance from hotel management or Hotels.com to rectify the situation that was caused at no fault of my own. Would not recommend this stay or booking through Hotels.com.

Absolutely in love with this hotel, cannot wait to return. We all loved the mattresses, and had the best night sleep. The rooms are gorgeous, moody. The restaurant and cafe were 5 stars and the kodo team were so warm and inviting. Thank you especially to Yugi! And Lizzie from the restaurant and Zoe from the cafe. Great energy. ♥️♥️♥️

This is my favorite stay in DTLA.

It’s boutique, it’s bachelor, it’s chic, the people are wonderful, and the design is 😘

The lighting at night is stunning. So thoughtful.

I booked for a show in Boyle Heights and it was so easy to access.

This side of downtown is amazing, Bestia and Damian are nearby. That’s hot.

Had a wonderful stay here at Kodo. Very clean and very unique! The staff was wonderful as well. Eugene was an amazing manager/host and we felt very welcomed and taken care of. As well as the long haired bartender, and friendly guy at the cafe ever day (I forgot their names I’m so sorry!)

it is really a self-serve hotel in terms of checking in and out, but I found it absolutely convenient.

For building maintenance, please check the showers though. When we turn up the hot water for shower, the pressure is so low that we get cold while taking a shower.

Otherwise, we had an amazing stay! I love how it felt so personalized and homey.
