We adopted a dog from this shelter and later a kitten . For more than a decade our dog kept us safe, watched over our son growing up and provided us with endless cuddles and comfort.
Last Friday we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy, we are heartbroken but incredibly grateful to this shelter for helping us in finding each other 🤍

Adopted a feline a year ago. It was the best experience ever. I have my little buddy who is fully grown into a dashing beautiful adult cat. I love him so much. Here is a picture  to the left how skinny but beautiful he was when adopted & a picture to the right as a full bloom adult kitty, kitty. I love him so very much he has brought so much joy with happiness to my life. Adopt a friend. They truly do know how to love in the most sincere way.

A close friend of mine passed and there dog ended up in the pound. It was late in the game for the pooch and I didn't have much time by the time I found out. Another friend of mine offered to help with half. When I got there and had finished the process and it was time to pay, crickets. My partner was unreachable. Imagine that. Well there I stood looking real stupid . Short 23 dollars. Was in the beginning phase of realizing what lay ahead. He would be put down. As the panic started to set in an Angel appeared. Upon hearing my story the Angel  disappeared. The Angel returned with two green paperlike objects with the numbers 2 and zero on both of them. The his stranger this helper of the shelter employee or volunteer I do not know, gave me out of the kindness of there heart and love for the animal, the money I needed and some . Because of the Angel, I was able to save my late friends, dogs life. They also gave me a very nice giant dog bed for my giant new friend. Plus all the shots/neuter/chip etc. For a decent price. I do feel in order for the animals to be adopted out at I higher rate the price should be lower. Although there are bills to pay and a lot of them so I do understand. East valley was great. My dog was well cared for and I know it's not a bad place because an Angel works there. You truly are an Ass angel and with all my heart I thank you we both do. May God bless you a hundred fold for your kindness. Management she deserves a raise. Truly. Even if she just got one. Even if it's only a quarter. She should be rewarded for such amazing show of humanity and kindness . Not to mention how good she made Easter valley look. Thanks to you all for your love and care. It was a blessing and pleasure.

I rescued the greatest dog I’ve ever met from this shelter. I have zero regrets of stepping into this place and making the leap. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were clean. They made the process easy to understand. Please consider rescuing an animal. It’s not these animals fault that a human let them down. They deserve a second chance.
