I loved it so much that I went again the next day. It brought me back to my childhood, especially the fries. Both times I went, it was near closing & the employers were nothing but friendly. The food was good, better yet than you know who with no animal cruelty. The Royale is my fave & the nuggets were a close second. It was clean. I'll keep Mr. Charlie's in mind when I'm in LA & craving a burger.

Tip: on Mondays, they sell "Not A Hamburgers" for $0.99! Limit 2 per person. It's a very basic burger with a patty, mustard, ketchup, and pickles. But you can't beat $0.99.

I was helped by Mia and she was great! Very friendly and welcoming. Super cool hip vibes!!

Got real lucky that another regular customer was there and seen me and my girlfriend were having a difficult time making a choice, she told us about the “1$ burger on Monday” it’s more of a if you know you know kinda thing apparently. So that was super cool.
The service was a bit weird, the guy who took my order acted like he didn’t wanna be there. And the place itself smelt like piss. The food we got was 4 burgers (all 1$) nuggets and fries. They didn’t have a great selection of drinks so we didn’t bother.
The taste was EXACTLY like McDonalds hamburgers. Believe the hype. The chicken nuggets tasted more like chicken then there’s tho. Fries were again like McDonalds. I ended up coming back in and getting 4 more burgers all for a dollar again, and this time the guy who took my order was super positive and seemed like he wanted to be working there.
Overall if I’m ever back in LA I’ll definitely come back on a Monday.

Vegan McDonalds? Sign me up! I’ve always driven past this place, not knowing what it actually was.  The burgers aren’t actually that bad, considering no meat is used. I also tried the not chicken nuggets, which tasted just like the real thing.  I do have an issue with the prices though, over $30 for 1 person seems a little steep, even in LA. It’s cute the whole experience and you should definitely try this, but I feel it’s a one time thing.

No restroom for paying customers to wash their hands before eating! I'm sorry don't offer me hand sanitizer at a place where all the food is eaten with your hands. How gross. Charlie my guy, if you have money for neon lights, stickers, and special little boxes for the hype, you can afford a restroom. McDonald's has restrooms!! Other than that the food was great and fast. Very expensive and yet another place that won't take cash and asks for a tip for a fast food worker who is literally providing zero personal treatment and nothing beyond their basic job description that would warrant a tip.....sadly this is the world we live in. Honestly, as someone who doesn't eat animals, I'm glad it's there, but I'm not impressed overall everything considered. Do better Charlie.
