We didn’t have great weather so the view was a bit so and so. The views of Los Angeles from up there are rather nice, especially at sunset or night. The road was closed though, so we parked lower down and walked 100m. Feels pretty safe.

This specific location, IMHO, is not the best location to get a scenic view of the city.. I can’t speak to any sunset pics (some of the others posted here are beautiful) but this SPECIFIC spot is just a bend in the road with three maybe four parking spaces. There is a spot lower down Mulholland called Universal City Overlook that, again IMHO, gives a much better view of the city… we were there at dusk and watching the city “light up” was much more satisfying… plus there is more designated parking. The drive up to these locations is best suited for drivers who know how big their vehicles are and don’t mind steep tight turns…

A must when in LA area, miles and miles of curves and scenic views. Well paved and in overall good condition.
There is a small part in the beginning that is close but you can biomass it and continue to go an amazing ride.
Totally recommend!!
