A very good place to find loving beaut. Dogs - call and check website on dogs..
I like to take  new or clean used blankets for dogs in winter to donate. Even fresh canned or bags of fresh dog food.

The place was amazing they seem to really care about the animals , the ladies in the front are really sweet and I was able to adopt a kitten for $12;50 due to a special ! They also give you items if you adopt and you can also do community service and volunteer to help with the animal !

The shelter is very clean and organized. I stopped by with my family to pick up a baby tortoise, and although we couldn’t take him home due to his size (which we didn’t know at the time), the staff was very nice and they made sure to properly explain the adoption process for these babies.

My husband and I adopted our sweet boy Iago from NCAS a year and a half ago. We couldn’t wait to take him home with us. Iago was still in tact when he was surrendered to the shelter but the staff took excellent care of him, the adoption paperwork went smooth, and they even gave us a donated carrier to take him home in. We love Iago and couldn’t imagine our lives without him!

The LA Animal Shelters do $15 microchipping.
That's what I came here to do.

Idk if it was the day I came or something, but I had a quick phone call with them at 9am, confirmed that you don't need an appointment to chip. No long hold waiting, immediate answers, nice.

I got down there and the mood is fairly somber when they see you walk in with a dog, but once I mentioned I was microchipping him the mood definitely perked up! Can't say I blame them, when you work all day with abandoned or surrendered animals, I'd be crushed too..

From check in at the desk to getting the chip inserted probably only took 15-20 minutes. They took some details about me and the dog to register in the system, gave me my receipt, instructed me to wait by the Receiving window, someone from there came out to take my dog, they were back in like 2 minutes, gave me the details on how to register the chip along with a collar tag to go with it, and I was on my way!

My dog was very happy to leave, but I can't blame him, the sound of all the other animals in there desperately crying for a home was a huge gut punch.

The facility was super clean though, seemed decently staffed. There are a lot of animal control cops wandering in or out, which was upsetting, but it's not the facility's fault that people abandon their animals...

That said, for fast and cheap microchipping, definitely recommend.
